It looks like the Barco deal is happening for definite so would say that, plus the fact Cucu’s deal runs out in 2028 IIRC, would indicate he’ll be free to leave in the summer. Fernandez not arsed about because for the £106m he cost, he hasn’t repaid anywhere near that at all. Good amount of goals & assists the past 18 months but still gets run over the top of far too much when he plays deeper & offers little physically and off the ball. Will get what we paid for though if we do sell. Palmer looks disinterested. Maybe just been a tough year for him but something is off. Would be a big big summer if they did, would maybe be the shakeup these idiots running the club need though. But they’ll break even on Enzo & make a profit on Cole so maybe they won’t care. Problem for him will be that we surely can’t take a loss on the 106m we paid for him and other than PSG I can’t see anyone else affording that. Could they decide to go for him to replace the aging Fabian? I could maybe see it. I don’t think there’s any chance Palmer or Cucu go. Cucu seems genuinely settled and loyal. Palmer would have to aggressively push for an exit AND United or City would have to put £150m on the table for us to consider I would hope. Which for clubs that will need lots of other signings could be far too much. Tbh, the only one of our BIG players I’d be genuinely devastated about losing is Caicedo. As great as Enzo has been much of this season I think the team as a whole could actually benefit long term by having a more athletic midfielder in his place. Palmer going to a direct rival and immediately reverting to his top level would be incredibly fucked up. For that reason I just cannot imagine the club sanctioning his exit.
