In order for us to get Morgan Rogers a bunch of things have to go our way. We have to get UCL football whilst Villa don’t, we have to hope no other big PL clubs are after him, and we almost certainly have to be willing to spend £100m on a player again plus big wages.

Personally can’t see all of that aligning. If one of the Manchester clubs go in for him I don’t think we’d have a chance because of the wages they’d offer.

But tbh, as much as I like Rogers and think he’s going to continue to be very good, I don’t really see a £100m, “he’s one of the best attackers in the world” level player there. Just looking at the current top English AM’s, he doesn’t feel on Palmer’s or Bellingham’s level when they’re in form. Again, very good player, but not truly world class.

I would say that £100m is the price for these players now though. And probably a fee we will struggle to pay.

Would hate to see what a genuine world class attacking player would cost, depending on age, could be talking £150-175m.

Yes. Had Palmer not gotten injured and had carried on the form he was in he would’ve been a £150m+ player if he were on the market.

But yeah, Rogers WILL be a £100m but I’m not sure he’s actually worth that YET. Being English, being PL proven, already being at a big club, and being a player his club will be very reluctant to sell. All of that means they’re going to probably want at least Declan Rice money unless their PSR situation is dire again.

🔵🗯Yesterday evening, something from January was clarified:

- Chelsea's contract offer to Semenyo for the total base salary was in line with the other offers.

- The main difference was that City's bonuses were twice as high as those of all other clubs.

- Bournemouth accepted the basic terms of four offers (from us, City, Liverpool, and Man United).

- The decision was entirely up to the player, who chose City because he believed he had the best chance of winning titles there.

Romano is such a wanker

pushing this Fichajes shite:

e860d6bd7a3acf2ce1e6216a6acb0606.png

IF they are being sold we should be ALL OVER BOTH

those are CL and EPL-winning level players IMHO

same for Osimhen or Lautaro at CF

Bastoni at CB (the best CB on the planet for me)

Diogo Costa at GKer (by far the best GKer remotely available atm, with Gregor Kobel the only other one you might make a case for, although Costa is far better with his feet and Kobel is a crazy hard pull, turns 30yo next year, in late 2027, and probably Bayern is the team he might leave for, or Barca or eventually Real)

CMF/DMFs

Federico Valverde
João Neves

Vitinha
Sandro Tonali

and also at winger besides KK  (all these are rumoured to be up for sale for the right amount of money)

Kenan Yıldız
Bradley Barcola
Morgan Rogers
Yan Diomande
(potentially)

IF they are actually sold (doubtful), you of course can add Vini Jr and Olise in there too

Premier League clubs alerted as Werder Bremen plot record Karim Coulibaly sale

https://www.tribalfootball.com/article/soccer-premier-league-premier-league-clubs-alerted-as-werder-bremen-plot-record-karim-coulibaly-sale-f01ecb6e-1f28-4089-b1bd-6bbe020efe2d

Werder Bremen are reportedly planning to sell young defender Karim Coulibaly for a club record fee in the summer with Premier League clubs keen.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of the best young defensive talents in German this season, starting 20 of his 21 Bundesliga games.

According to BILD, Bremen are hoping to take advantage and cash-in on Coulibaly in a deal that could completely change the club’s financial outlook.

Bremen will demand a fee of around £42 million, which would be their record sale, eclipsing Diego’s move to Juventus in 2009.

It’s understood that several Premier League, Ligue 1, and Serie A sides are interested in signing the youngster.

Absolute rubbish from Fichajes:

The say Boehly himself is going to drop 250m euros this summer on:

RB (he no longer even slightly rotates at CB, and he is only 1.79m/1.80m tall anyway, perfectly fine for a fullback, but far too short for an EPL CB) Jules Kounde, who turns 28yo this fall

LW/AMF Dani Olmo, who turns 29yo towards the end of next seasoon

LW/RW Raphinha (left-footed, plays more at LW though, due to Yamal playing RW), who turns 30yo late this fall

Laughable claim.

🗯🔵According to Brazilian outlet @ntvascainos, Chelsea’s board does not consider Andrey Santos untouchable. Manchester United are currently the frontrunner but Juventus is also monitoring the situation. His market value is €40m and Vasco da Gama would be entitled to 2.5% of any future sale.

I don't mind selling him, but it will be dumb to sell him and stay with Lavia.

We won't have any good cover in the mid.
