He’s just about to turn 35 in a month and a half and will probably want one final multi-year contract with big wages before his career is finished. Well, he never retired from French NT but he has not been a frequent squad member recent years. After the 2024 Euros, he was not selected until 2025 November WC-qualifiers. The league is a lot tougher than when he was dominating it. We can sign someone in their prime and still get leadership, locker room presence.
