Chelsea Transfers

Romano is nothing but a Fichajes fake news shill now:

Chelsea are interested in Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior amid growing doubts over his long-term future at the Bernabeu. (Fichajes)

Chelsea have discussed a shock €125m move to sign João Neves, one of the best young midfielders in the world. (Fichajes)

Remember, after hyping the fake Vini Jr to Chels Fichajes bullshit for weeks, Romano came out and claimed it was all baseless, but NOW, in true gaslighting style, he is back pushing the same dross AGAIN.

Ahhh yes.. the inevitable ‘we must be careful to not block the pathways of certain players’ who don’t even play here.

It’s literally like clockwork. You could easily be reading the same briefs from the last 4 transfer windows and not even tell the difference of which window it was.

It’s insulting the common man’s intelligence now.

🔵💥Rennes were valuing Jeremy Jacquet at around €70million but Chelsea were looking at closer to €45million, not including add-ons which could take it towards €55million.

If the club “don’t want to block the pathway for our young CB’s” then why tf are they chasing another young CB who ansolutely blocks the pathway for for the current ones?

Why not buy 28 year old Senesi for a third of the price and get a good 3 season’s out of him, after which time the young guys will be ready?

Fuckers have raised the price 5 times now. Started at €50m, then €55m, then €60m, then €65m, now €70m!

They can fuck right off.

‘Not good enough’ – Alan Smith says Mikel Arteta should sell ‘struggling’ Arsenal star

Alan Smith has controversially suggested that Arsenal should consider selling talented young full-back Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer.

Lewis-Skelly burst onto the scene last term, breaking out of Arsenal’s youth ranks to establish himself as a genuine first-team star alongside fellow academy product Ethan Nwaneri.

The 19-year-old made 39 appearances in all competitions last season, and saw his fine form rewarded with a new, long-term contract to keep him at the club until 2030.

Despite that promising breakthrough season, Lewis-Skelly has found regular minutes harder to come by this season, with the teenager falling behind Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order.

Lewis-Skelly has made just one solitary league start so far this campaign, although he did start in the Gunners’ midweek Champions League victory over Inter at San Siro.

Despite his lack of game time, Arsenal are said to have rebuffed loan interest from several other Premier League clubs in the January transfer window.

But former Gunners striker Smith believes that the club might be wise to cash in on Lewis-Skelly in the summer after seeing the teenager ‘struggle’ in recent starts.

‘He is just not good enough defensively,’ Smith told BestBettingSites.co.uk when asked about Lewis-Skelly.

‘He’s been brought up as a midfielder, and when he’s had 1v1s, he has struggled, for example, when Frimpong was up against him in the Liverpool game, because he’s not the quickest either, and he’s not a natural defender.

‘He’s got three players in front of him who can all defend better. So, looking forward to the summer, I think it might be a case of selling him, for PSR and all that, being a youth team player, it’s pure profit.

‘So, unfortunately, I think he might have to leave the club.’

Lewis-Skelly, meanwhile, said he is keen to stake his claim for more regular minutes after his start against Inter on Tuesday.

‘I think every time I get the chance to start, I see it as an opportunity,’ the teenager told Amazon Prime.

‘Even when I come on, for me, it’s just impacting the game and helping the team out in any way I can. And I’m glad I was able to help out today.

‘All I can do is control the controllables. And every time I get the opportunity to play, as a team, the depth that we have as a squad is really strong.

‘We all have that mentality that when we come in, we’ve got to do the job. I think that’s how we carry ourselves. It’s so special [the spirit in the dressing room], so special.

‘Honestly, this has been amazing [being] part of the team, and just the energy and everything like that, the harmony. It’s really special to be a part of.’

Arsenal return to league action at the weekend as they host Michael Carrick’s Manchester Untied at the Emirates.

This, I sort of get. The younglings deserve a trial.

But if they were worried about blocking pathways to Badiashile and Fofana, screw that.

Brilliant. So nobody half decent over the age of 25 is coming in. Incase Achrampong, Sarr or Anselmino turn out to be the next Maldini. And will be the same for a good CF in the summer no doubt, incase they block Delaps pathway in the hope he can do something else at a high level other than pick up silly bookings. Or a good left back incase we block Hato’s pathway in the event he ever plays more than 1 game a month. Or a good winger incase we block Garnacho/Gittens pathway for when they become the truly elite wingers they’ll never ever be…. Etc etc. Hilarious.

💥Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Levi Colwill all understood to be seeking discussions over improved contracts. Chelsea, however, want to delay any renewal talks until the summer.

(@NizaarKinsella)

Caicedo is the only one who warrants one really.

And aren’t all 3 of them on like 8 year contracts anyway? Can delay them for another 2-3 seasons 😂

This will be interesting now though in the summer. Particularly Fernandez given the recent links - will the club maybe cash in on him as opposed to renew? Strong position given he has about a life sentence left on his contract. Plus he’s not exactly ripped it up.

I can smell a last minute deadline day walk away from this JJ deal and us panic buying some unknown 19 year old from Germany or somewhere

Does feel a bit reminiscent of what we did with Xavi Simons. Agree personal terms, the player has said he wants to come to Chelsea, but now we’re dicking around with the other club on price and end up turning elsewhere.

In this case though I doubt we buy another Buonanotte type random no-name but will instead just use Disasi. Which would of course be madness.
