😵🤐Oh My God, Joe Shields seems to be incapable of doing anything other than removing everything from Man City!!!

🔴💥🤔City or former City players/staff who, since Joe Shields' move to Chelsea in January 23, have been recommended by him, signed, almost signed, or are still to be signed for Chelsea and Strasbourg:

🟠Transfer canceled:

-Samuel Edozie

-CJ Egan-Riley

-Nico O'Reilly

-Taylor Harwood-Bellis

-Joel Ndala

🟢Transfers that worked out:

-Cole Palmer

-Liam Delap

-Roméo Lavia

-Jadon Sancho

-Jamie Gittens

-Tosin Adarabioyo

-Tyrese Noubissie

🔵Transfers that are still possible in the upcoming transfer periods:

-Pierce Charles

-James McAtee

-Jahmai Simpson-Pusey

-James Trafford

-Oscar Bobb

-Morgan Rogers

🟤Employees who work at Chelsea and Strasbourg thanks to Shields or had.

-Glenn van der Kraan

-Andrew Cousins

-Stewart Thompson

-Calum McFarlane

-Enzo Maresca

-Nick Chadd

Joe Shields another one who has to go.

State of the transfers we made who were ex City players, other than Cole, none have been good signings for various reasons.

An absolute farce that they’ve given him & the other two so much control when they have no experience at an elite level. Only involved at Brighton, Monaco & City EDS or academy sides. But thats obviously the clubs current goals -  profit driven with no ambition of being competitive.

City were ruthless enough to let Sancho, Lavia, Delap etc all go with no hassle. Palmer also when he asked to leave. The only one they actually kept that we wanted was Nico O’Reilly.

Romano is now officially a rumour clown, has been for months:

  • Chelsea are interested in signing the Aston Villa midfielder Morgan Rogers, and they would be prepared to spend €150 million on him. (Fichajes)

  • Chelsea are interested in signing the Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali. (Football Insider)

  • Chelsea are prepared to proceed with the club-record move to sign the Real Madrid superstar, Vinicius Junior. (Fichajes)

Morgan Rogers only believable rumour there. Because he’s ex Man City.

we refused to drop £70-80m on him

now way we now drop £131m

especially after dropping close to £100m on Gittens and Garnacho

zero chance we spend closing in on £375m on 5 right-footed LWers (Sterling, Muddy, Gittens, Garnacho, and then Rogers, who is more of a comble AMF/Winger anyway)

🔴🗯Real Madrid want to strengthen their midfield after struggling to control games in centra areas. Enzo Fernandez. Alexis Mac Allister. Vitinha and Adam Wharton are all on their radar.

Real Madrid still have Rodr on their radar. but won't make a move until the summer when he enters the ast vear of his contract at Manchester Citv.

If we can get Madrid to pay close to/more than we paid for Enzo Fernandez, we should be all over it. Let’s be honest, he is a good player but no more than that.

I do imagine Vitinha will be their first choice though as he is genuinely world class. And can actually get around the pitch.

Sources: Chelsea turn attentions to Ivory Coast international winger

There’s a new name on the Chelsea recruitment agenda right now, and it’s a player making waves out there in world football.

We are into the January transfer window now, but you’d be forgiven if you had forgotten all about it due to everything else that has been going on at our club.

Chelsea are seeking out any possible opportunities for January, and we could well see one or two new arrivals into the first team squad. We just have to wait and see on that, with the new manager, Liam Rosenior, arriving this week.

But there’s a new name that has caught Chelsea’s attentions this week.

SPTC Sources have been told that are stepping up scouting on RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande.

The 19-year-old attacker can play on the left or on the right, and he has already earned 7 caps for Ivory Coast, scoring 2 goals along the way.

He’s also bagged 7 goals in 16 appearances in Bundesliga this season so far, playing mostly off the left wing.

Chelsea now have him on their radar and are pondering a potential move to try and sign him in the near future. It’s VERY unlikely that Leipzig will allow any sale mid-season, but clubs interested in Diomande are trying to be quick about it because both Tottenham and Manchester United have registered their interest in the player as well as Chelsea.

He’s another rising talent that has a big future ahead of him. Chelsea have put themselves firmly in the mix now.

This guy is unbelievable..

Grew up in the US, played for noname Florida teams, only came to Europe last January for Leganes B, not even one year later he is a wanted man.

I saw him a few times after hearing a lot about him in various podcasts, he is AMAZING. Most surprisingly, he is not a raw talent but seems to be very mature and understands the game like Garnacho never will. Pretty surprising from a guy who got his football training in Daytona Beach.

🔵Liam Rosenior on player trading between the BlueCo sister clubs: "Yesterday we sat together for seven hours in different meetings and most of the conversations were about how we can strengthen this (Strasbourg) team from Chelsea."

Sat together discussing how to make Strasbourg feel better after ripping the heart out of the club and massage them into feeling better.

Instead of being sat around a table discussing what is needed at this club which is far more important than Strasbourg. Whilst we are around the table discussing other clubs problems, Man City are in talks with Palace to sign a player we should be approaching in Marc Guehi

How sad.

Incoming Chelsea boss Rosenior wants English star as his first signing at the club

https://www.caughtoffside.com/2026/01/05/chelseat-want-english-star-signing-january/

Chelsea have moved quickly to usher in a new era, with Liam Rosenior set to be confirmed as the club’s new head coach, according to a trusted source on X.

The appointment marks a decisive shift in direction at Stamford Bridge, with the club opting for a progressive, modern manager who has impressed across Europe with his work in player development and tactical organisation.

Rosenior arrives with a clear vision and an immediate focus on stabilising Chelsea’s project following a turbulent period.

Following the departure of manager Enzo Maresca, the Blues are looking for someone who can take the club out of the current crisis and Rosenior, after his impressive work at Strasbourg, has reportedly won the race to become the new Blues boss.

Chelsea could target January move for Marc Guéhi

One of his first priorities is understood to be strengthening the defensive unit, and that has brought Marc Guéhi firmly into the spotlight as a potential January signing.

The England international, currently captain of Crystal Palace, is highly regarded by Rosenior for his leadership, composure on the ball and ability to play in a high defensive line.

Guéhi has long been admired across the Premier League, and Chelsea’s interest is not new. The defender is a former academy product at Stamford Bridge, and his development since leaving the club has only enhanced his reputation as one of the most consistent centre-backs in English football.

With Palace aware of growing interest from elite clubs and Guéhi approaching a crucial stage of his contract, January could represent a pivotal moment.

However, any deal is far from straightforward. Crystal Palace are under no pressure to sell cheaply and will demand an attractive offer to even consider letting their captain leave mid-season.

Guéhi would transform the Blues defense

Guéhi would represent more than just a defensive upgrade. He would be a crucial signing, someone capable of organising the back line, mentoring younger defenders and fitting seamlessly into a possession-based system that prioritises build-up from the back.

Chelsea’s hierarchy are understood to be open to reinforcing the defence in January if the right opportunity presents itself, but they are equally prepared to wait until the summer if Palace’s valuation proves prohibitive.

The Blues are expected to face competition from Liverpool and Manchester City in the race to sign the Palace centre-back.

He scored a great goal in the first half tonight for Côte d'Ivoire v Burkino Faso in a knockout game.
