Chelsea Transfers

As I mentioned - Liverpool overspent on a bunch of average ish players and have an ageing team. They won't be this powerhouse. Found it funny people thought they would steam roll the league again.

They'll be in a tough spot in 3-4 years.

Our model of picking away but getting young pieces in that fit is far more sutainable long term IMO.

Takes time to adjust, can't make that decision so early.

Have your not learn anything from cucu and Caicedo?

Enzo won't be here too much longer, we have enough flare players to sink a battleship

Wharton is the Enzo replacement for me

Kenan Yıldız OR Semenyo for LW

Rogers at AMF AND share time at LW with the one of the 2 above we buy

Flush the insane amount of turds we now have at LW down the loo: Sterling, Muddy-Druggy, Garnacho, and Gittens.

EXCL: Chelsea still looking at signing former Man City player despite transfer move in the summer

https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/excl-Chelsea-still-looking-at-signing

Chelsea are busy working in the background as we approach another transfer window opening up this window.

Whilst January is never going to be as busy as summer transfer windows simply because they are longer and no club really wants to let players go mid-season, there are a few potential situations building up and Chelsea will always be looking at opportunities.

Although I wouldn’t be putting this transfer story into that category right now, it is an interesting one to watch for sure.

SPTC Sources have revealed that Chelsea are still very much in the frame for former Manchester City attacking midfielder James McAtee, despite him making a move to Nottingham Forest in the summer.

As we reported in the summer, Chelsea very much looked at signing McAtee then as well but in the end did not make the move, and he duly signed for Forest.

He signed a contract at the club until 2030 but that has not put Chelsea off or ended their interest in the 23-year-old. He is a player that very much stays on Chelsea’s shortlist and it could certainly be one to watch next summer.

McAtee is another Joe Shields recommendation and a player who is universally liked at Chelsea, not just by Shields.

One to keep an eye on in the near future.

This is what should happen but of course will be nowhere near it with these clowns.

Chelsea HOT TAKES!

Felix over Gittens, Chelsea winning the league, Neto should be sold, Sanchez is world class.....

https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/Chelsea-hot-takes

I’ve drawn in on some Chelsea ‘hot takes’ that I found on a post on X over the weekend for a bit of fun really. Some of them are madness!

I won’t name and shame anyone who’s posted them, I’ll simply put the ‘takes’ below. Let me know if you agree with any of them.

  • Chelsea should have kept Joao Felix and not gotten Gittens

  • If Chelsea signed Huijsen we’d be top of the league

  • Roman being forced to sell was a blessing in disguise

  • When everyone is fit, we have the best and most balanced squad in the league

  • Hato and Fofana should be a CB duo

  • Neto is a liability and needs to go in January or summer if we want to advance as a top club

  • End the season trophyless, come back to this tweet next year

  • Neto is actually our best winger and is being scapegoated by our fans

  • Acheampong and Badiashile are clearly are best CB pairing

  • Despite the billion or so pumped into it, the squad looks unbelievably average

  • We WILL have a better season than Arsenal & City trophy wise

  • Jackson would cook with this team & eventually start banging

  • Paez will never start for Chelsea. He’ll be sold by 2028

  • Buonanotte was a better signing than Simons or Fermin

  • Sanchez is world class

  • Enzo F should be sold ASAP

  • We are still nowhere near being genuine title challengers because of our recruitment policy

  • We’re winning the league

As I said, some of these are very wild!! Also, just look how contrasting some of these flip flopping opinions are!

Go on guys, why not throw yours in the comments at the bottom and I’ll review some of them tomorrow!

Only sustainable if we add to the core group and round out the squad with quality options in GK CB and up front.

Chelsea are seen as the frontrunners to sign 23-year-old England midfielder Morgan Rogers from Premier League rivals Aston Villa. (Caught Offsid

Obviously another ex Man City player…. Good potential but enough of the Joe Shields recommendations.

Would steer clear of any u23 attackers/midfielders/defender in the next window.

Go get a top GK, CB & attacker who is 24-28 and isn’t going to need 2 seasons to come good for fuck sake. Not hard. Or we will be this up and down team again and again. Bit of proven quality would go a long way…

It is crazy to think that our "oldest" players are Tosin, Cucurella and Sanchez and in all honesty, only one of them should be a guaranteed starter 😆

Imagine if we had the experience of Kovacic/Jorginho/Kante/Cesc in the midfield to help these young guys  or even the likes of Cahill/Luiz/Rudiger at the back

Tbf we wouldn’t be so open in midfield if Enzo Fernandez would actually run back and tackle also. World Cup Winning midfielder yet an absolute passenger when teams take the ball of us.

But yes experience would help everyone for sure.   But when Kante and Jorginho were here folk were desperate to get rid of them, apparently Kante wasn’t ever going to be fit enough to play to justify a wage & Jorginho wasn’t good enough (yet went to a title competitor and ended up playing as a #6 instead of £100m Declan Rice, who was initially signed and used by Arteta as a 6).

If we go into January/next summer and don’t prioritise some experience in key positions, will be same again and again. And the usuals will keep buying what these charlatans are selling because they’ll buy 3 or 4 up and coming attackers instead of hitting the nail on the head and solving problems that have been ongoing for 3 plus seasons now.

I mean if people are thinking these owners and sporting directors have real ambition to win the biggest titles, after the past 4 windows, they are delusional. It has been noted that we have needed a top GK, a top CB, a top CF/attacker for fuck knows how long. Even the manager said about a CB in the summer… the manager. Yet what did they do, £100m on 2 wide players…. Donnarumma & Guehi would of cost less than that.
