I see all the sketchy sources about Delap and Man United and add another sketchy source. 😂

Defo sketchy because the article has failed to realise that if United win the Europa League, they will automatically be in the Uefa Champions League and their is no standout team in that competition right now, so United could easily win that. Bilbao are very good but beatable. They still have to get past Rangers. Defo dodgy source.

Delap ? This is our level now ?
This guy is relegation with Ipswich and we expect him to save us with 20+ goals ?

Go and get Osimhen , Diogo Costa  stop get mid players .

I think Delap will develop into a really good number nine. The base to get much better is there, or, I could be wrong.

At what point do we stop becoming a team that's seemingly just here to develop players?

Since this is the path we continue to take, we really can't grumble too much about not vying for major honours. Our board is obviously unaware of a concept known as balance.

As much as they have spent, you think they would have learned by now. We can only wait until they either figure it out, or sell the team.

Yeah Delap is a number 2 striker. We already have Jackson.

Under the old regime, we’d be trying to get a good/top manager in and go for either Isak or Oshimen. Even without CL football. But these cunts in charge are too daft and too cheap. And have hard ons for u23 players who are mainly guys with limited potential or extremely injury prone.

If Maresca is still here next season I’m not going to bother watching us. Not been to the Bridge in a good while either and don’t intend on going whilst BlueCo are on this path. We are so bad it is unreal. On and off the pitch.

Chelsea are looking to add a striker, winger, midfielder and defender to their squad this summer.

Some names under consideration are:

▪︎ Liam Delap
▪︎ Jesus Rodriguez
▪︎ Jorrel Hato
▪︎ Dean Huijsen

Only one worth going for immediately is Huijsen out of those 4 and he will not be coming here. For sure.

Bournemouth want to sign Kepa permanently this summer, and they are set to speak with Chelsea and Arrizabalaga’s camp to try to get that deal done.

‼️ West Ham are leading the race to sign Chelsea target Jonathan David this summer.

🚨 Everton are not currently planning on turning Armando Broja’s loan into a permanent move unless Chelsea show a willingness to budge on his £30m cost.

Benfica are now pushing to sign Felix in early June in order for the forward to arrive in time for their Club World Cup campaign.

Thirteen years after the first issue, the CIES Football Observatory research team is very proud to present its 500th Weekly Post! For the occasion, we highlight the footballers born in 2001 or later who have played the most official matches in senior competitions since the start of their careers, by year of birth.

With no fewer than 376 official matches at senior competition level, Rodrygo (Real Madrid) ranks first among players born in 2001. The following footballers have accumulated the most appearances for the other years of birth: Eduardo Camavinga (2002), Jude Bellingham (2003), Ângelo Gabriel (2004), Vitor Roque (2005), Endrick Felipe (2006) as well as Lamine Yamal (2007 onwards).

The Post also presents the average number of games per year since the start of the player's career. With an average of 59.7 games per year since his debut, Lamine Yamal leads all years of birth combined. The Barcelona prodigy is ahead of Pau Cubarsì (59.0) and João Neves (55.0). By year of birth, the leaders are Jason Knight (2001), Joško Gvardiol (2002), Jude Bellingham (2003), João Neves (2004), Malick Fofana (2005), Jorrel Hato (2006) and Lamine Yamal (2007 onwards).

Don't know about Jesus Rodriguez but other 3 are good youngsters. Also, would love Morgan Rogers. Should have swapped Maatsen for Rogers last summer instead of buying a total unknown in Omari Kellyman. He'd go straight into the XI here as one of the attacking mids.

🚨 New: Enzo Maresca insists he still has "unwavering support" from Chelsea's owners + sporting directors.

😒😒🤮🤮

Enzo Maresca admits Chelsea will miss out on Champions League if two stars Palmer & Jackson don't improve.

"In the last two years, Chelsea have
been ZERO times in the top four, top
five. We've spent all season in the
Champions League spots. We are in a
semi-final of a European competition
Why now do we need to change
something? I don't have any doubts
about what We are doing. in the Way We
are doing it.'

Chelsea make new agent contact for Dutch international centre back Dean Huijsen

https://siphillipstalkschelsea.substack.com/p/sources-Chelsea-make-new-agent-contact

The Chelsea centre back situation is heating up right now and The Blues are putting the work in on a number of targets.

We exclusively reported a couple of months back that Chelsea were now interested in this Dutch centre back, and fresh contacts have now been made.

Trevoh Chalobah is still likely to be sold by Chelsea this summer, and there are of course concerns over the long term fitness of Wesley Fofana. Renato Veiga is another player who will be available this summer at the right price, so Chelsea’s decision makers will definitely be looking to bring in at least one new centre back, and potentially even two if Veiga does go.

Chelsea have been speaking to the people of Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth for a few weeks now and continue to push. He is now likely to stay in the Premier League but it is Liverpool at the moment that look like the most likely destination.

I’ve spoken to Liverpool sources, and they are adamant that the club are in pole position to land Huijsen this summer.

However, after speaking with SPTC sources, we are ensured that no decision has been made by the player yet and communications are ongoing.

The new info from sources is that Chelsea are also turning attentions to a player who they feel could replace Veiga as well as fill a centre back slot due to his versatility.
