It is published in tabloid format by DMG Media.[2] The newspaper is distributed from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays and the period between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day inclusive) mornings on trains and buses, and at railway/Underground stations, airports and hospitals across selected urban areas of England, Wales and Scotland. Copies are also handed out to pedestrians. Metro is owned by Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT), part of the same media group as the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday, but in some areas Metro operates as a franchise with a local newspaper publisher, rather than as a wholly owned concern. While being a sister paper to the conservative Daily Mail, the newspaper has never endorsed any political party or candidate, and says it takes a neutral political stance in its reporting.[3][2] History[edit] A Metro delivery van Origins and London launch[edit] The Metro free newspaper concept originated in Sweden, where a publication of the same name was launched in 1995 by Metro International. British newspaper executives Jonathan Harmsworth and Murdoch MacLennan, from DMGT, were reportedly inspired by the idea and flew to Stockholm on a 'fact-finding mission' to develop their version.[4] There were also reports in the late 1990s that both Metro International and Rupert Murdoch's News International were considering launching free newspapers in the UK that might prove a commercial threat to DMGT's businesses.[5] DMGT subsequently launched Metro, using the same name as Metro International's publications but with a different logo, on Tuesday 16 March 1999. This UK version of Metro had no relation to Metro International or its sister newspapers in other countries. Metro was launched initially as a London-only newspaper with an original print run of 85,000 copies, which were distributed via dedicated bins in London Underground stations.[4] The newspaper was produced at DMGT's printworks and office complex at Surrey Quays in southeast London, away from the company's main newspaper office in Kensington, west London.[5]

Need to become a football player or some social media celebrity I guess. Crazy prices, especially given a lot of world's economy isn't actually booming and the cost-of-life crisis is real in pretty much all of "western" world. Wonder when we will see first big name club go under, Barcelona was quite close recently. Just imagine Saudis deciding PSG or City is no longer needed for them. I just don't see both happening, there's no way Liverpool would allow us to get away with both players. Would have made more sense to wrap up the Caicedo deal and go for Adams as the squad midfielder.

I disagree. Our lack of attack was in large part due to the middle of the pitch and not being able to build up properly. We have plenty of talent - it is just hard as fans to imagine a turn around after the struggle we had last season. We will be competing for top 4 easily. Pizy 19,280
If (and at the moment it’s still a big IF) we sign both Caicedo AND Lavia, the only real area of our best XI you can look at and immediately say we could use an upgrade is on the right wing. But even that sounds a bit harsh before we’ve seen what Madueke and Sterling can do with a proper structure behind them in midfield. Of course Sterling looked like dogshit all preseason but what’s to say he won’t look great again with a rock solid midfield 3 behind him? I’d be pretty surprised if we dip into the market for a RW after the money we could be about the spend in midfield. If any further attacker is brought in I’m betting it’s a striker to rotate with Nico Jackson.
