ZAPHOD2319 4,942
I am really sick of Brighton. They keep trying to include Colwill when we have told every club that he will not be sold. After Caicedo is done, I hope we never do any business with them.

Does Fofana have a repeated problem or is it different every time? Wonder if he can just have a surgery to get through whatever it is or if he's just in general got a fragile body. No doubt didn't help that last year we threw away all of our medical staff (another Boehly era move) and evidently didn't take care of the players properly whatsoever. The injury that kept him out for almost a full year at Leicester was a leg break but this is said to be a knee problem. Knee issues were what kept him out last season from October to February too. He did have some prior knee problems at Saint-Etienne (in 2019) before he even moved to Leicester but it was nothing major and at the time only kept him out for around 10 games or so. Didn't have any problems with his knees for a good few years prior to the Chelsea move until getting hurt last October. Leg breaks usually heal quite well and don't cause problems going forward so I'm not too convinced that a 10 game knee injury few years prior to the move should have been seen as a deal breaker about him being injury prone? The likes of Azpi and Rüdiger had ACL ruptures in their past before coming to the club and never had any issues with their knees, and especially Azpi never had any issues with any injuries period. Sometimes you just get unlucky, I guess. Blue Armour and Costa19

Pizy 19,255
So Trev, Thiago Silva, Colwill, and Badiashile for the whole season. Assuming Badiashile returns pretty early in the season as reported. Probably good enough for a season without Europe. Assuming Poch’s plan is for a back 4.
MoroccanBlue 5,399
Tbh I've had my suspicions on Fofana in a back 4. Seems like a Kounde type, where his driving with the ball only really suitable in a back 3.

He certainly has the pace and ball playing ability to play there. Shame the fucker is made of glass.
Mhsc 1,139
Chalobah definitely has to stay then, glad he wasn't one of the ones we flogged quickly. Him and Silva should be fine for the year. Curious if Bads or Colwill can do a decent job at RCB as well. It would not totally shock me if Colwill could do a very solid job there, would be a bit more surprised if Bads could do it well though. I'm with you to a large degree, but should we really cut our noses to spit our faces, so to speak? If a deal is beneficial to us, I wouldn't be against it. Selling our players to them—forget that. Fernando 6,723
In general all buys we did last summer where bad. With Tuchel and Todd it was horrible. But since winter we improve. And right now our summer we gotten rid of a lot of deadwood we wanted gone. So board has done a really good job. Strike
