I really can't see the point of signing all of these young guys. Can anyone say what's the plan here? 

I mean signing someone like that for 3-4m would make sense, but we've spent almost 80m, if I recall, on young lads. Why?

But our transfer window only starts July 1 as well so why do deals closed before count as old year for our incomings but not outgoings?

We’re going to have some team in 2030 if these scouts who are convincing the club to pay tens of millions for teenagers have done their jobs.

Feels a bit over the top, though. Feels like we’re hoovered up about 15 “wonder kids” since last summer.

Any contract we do to acquire a player will not start until July 1st for FFP purposes. Jackson does not hit the books until July 1st.

And legal purposes. That is the reason why we havent heard anything from Jackson yet. Its not possible to officially sign him before July it seems.

Because he would be more expensive if he becomes good and when we would want to have him. And if Strasbourg sells him to us for the same price as now even tho he became a lot better, UEFA and Gary Neville would be all over us^^

I just feel like a number of these players won't make the grade, similar to years gone by. It's one thing to potentially go after the most talented or noteworthy youngsters around, like RM tends to do, but this idea of stockpiling them?
