#Chelsea are not ruling out the sale of Hakim Ziyech this summer, with AC Milan enquiring about his availability just a month ago. Lazio are also admirers. @CmdotCom_En

Come on Milan and Lazio!

A sale to Lazio in conjunction with SMS coming here would be great.

What makes me laugh is there are people who think we can sell this bloke. £110k a week means he is unsellable as no one else is going to match his wages. RLC and Barkley will also come under this category moving forward.

Just heard Matt Law podcast, we basically waiting until we know for sure none of our top priority strikers are available and after maybe move and invest in other positions, problem is by that time Sancho will already be at United, hurry up.

Borna Sosa: Who is VfB Stuttgart’s ‘left-footed’ David Beckham aiming for Germany honours?

https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/who-is-borna-sosa-vfb-stuttgart-left-back-germany-croatia-beckham-assists-15798

VfB Stuttgart’s southpaw star Borna Sosa has had his hat thrown in the ring for a spot in Germany’s Euro 2020 squad and been likened to an inverted David Beckham.

Here, bundesliga.com lifts the lid on the Croatia-born lefty’s rapid rise...

Borna Sosa

Age: 23
Club: VfB Stuttgart
Position: Left-back/left midfield
Country: Croatia (19 U21 caps)/Germany

Key stats

Born in the Croatian capital of Zagreb on 21 January 1998, Sosa joined the youth academy of hometown club Dinamo Zagreb as a seven-year-old in 2005. Sosa made his professional debut for Dinamo 10 years later, playing the full 90 minutes of a 2-0 win over city rivals NK Zagreb – a game that also saw RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo named among the Dinamo substitutes.

Sosa made his European bow by featuring in both the qualifying and group stages of Dinamo’s 2016/17 UEFA Champions League campaign. He went on to make 41 appearances and six assists over four seasons with the Modri, helping them collect three Croatian league titles and two domestic cups. The then 18-year-old’s sole appearance in the 2016 edition of the latter came in their 2-1 victory in the final, in which he played the full 90 minutes.

Ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, Sosa penned a five-year deal with Stuttgart and made his Bundesliga debut on Matchday 1. An injury-hit first season at the Mercedes-Benz Arena concluded with 12 league appearances, while he chalked up a first assist of his career in the MD32 3-1 loss at Hertha Berlin – supplying Mario Gomez with one of his now trademark pinpoint crosses.

Sosa did not feature in either leg of Suttgart’s ultimately unsuccessful relegation play-off showdown with Union Berlin that season as VfB were relegated. Their return to the top-flight was, however, immediate, although injuries again restricted Sosa’s input to 12 games. But he did contribute three assists and scored for the first time as a professional by grabbing the equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Darmstadt on 16 December 2019.

The 2020/21 season has been revelatory for Sosa and Stuttgart, with the 23-year-old finding form and consistency on the left side of coach Pellegrino Matarazzo’s hugely successful 3-4-2-1 formation. The result has been nine Sosa assists in 24 outings after 32 matchdays. And now, having turned out 56 times for Croatia up to U21 level, Sosa has emerged as a potential member of Die Mannschaft’s Euro 2020 squad after gaining citizenship through his Berlin-born mother Vesna.

Pretty sure that none of them are. That said, I cannot see us going for Sancho. I think Utd have put in too much leg work now.

Well we should be fairly flush from the CL and we have sold a few players already:

Tomori - €30m

Moses - €5m

and we have a number of players that we probably could sell fairly easily that wouldn't impact the squad too much:

Zouma

Tammy

Ziyech

Emerson (if we aren't stupid and ask for €20m)

So, if I were us I would indicate to Dortmund our interest and have then drag it out with Utd.

We need to act quick since i don't see we get Haaland or Lukaku in this summer.

Unpopular opinion...

How about Hector Bellerin in lieu of Adama Traore for the right wing back role if he will fancy the move and want to win trophy...

I would also love Lautauro Martinez if Jadon Sancho ends up in United(though I will be gutted going to that shit defensive team). As Martinez is South American he has that steel vibe and aura suitable for premier league though not yet a clinical finisher yet he is class  and on his way of becoming a deadly world class finisher...Because Haaland Kane and Lukaku transfer will not happen....

No, we need more robust players and not anymore weak players. One of the reasons we get rolled over by the likes of WBA so often is because we bend over without a fight too often.

As for Martinez, I am not sold on him, kind if seems to me when I watch him as very similar to Alexis Sanchez but not quite as good as Sanchez was at his peak.

Might as well save our money and use Livramento instead.

Every option is going to be off the table pretty quickly by the look of it. Any teeny, tiny sliver of hope for Haaland will be gone if they sell Sancho to United. So that’ll be literally every striker we’ve been linked with (Aguero, Kane, Lukaku, Haaland) out of reach before we’ve really even got started.

Is that kid from Fiorentina good enough to take a punt on?

If all top striker options are out of the question for this summer, I probably wouldn't mind sticking with Havertz in the false 9 role and Werner / Broja other options depending on tactical setup. Seems like a better bet than going for some second rate option who'd still cost a lot of money. Would prefer Tammy to stay if that's the case but he looks too far gone and Tuchel clearly doesn't rate him.

Choosing not to spend on a striker would likely leave a massive budget for improving other areas. Then just need to win back-to-back CLs and get Haaland next year. 🤣

Romano also just said Chelsea could be in the running for Saul Niguez.

Can't say I've watched much of Atletico in the last couple of years but I've always rated Saul. Could be a good fit in Tuchel's midfield.
