🤣 He already said he ain't going anywhere.

I can guarantee you that if we get Sancho and Werner and Sancho are playing in the same position, Sancho will play because he is much better. We can make a bet, if we actually buy Sancho and both Werner and Sancho are competing for the same position 😋. King Kai Sancho and Mount would play in our current system😏

People say that with Pulisic and Werner and look what has happened. And Sancho can also play on the right.

If we get Sancho, Ziyech will see even less game time.

Pulisic is not that good either currently. I was furious with him too. Sancho is also far better than Pulisic

Either way, they are both similar while Werner offers something completely different to them. It's nice to have options.

And if we're going for a striker, then I can't see us getting Sancho. It's one or the other, IMO.

Why do we need a striker? King Kai's best position is false 9. If we buy a big striker, he will sit on the bench a lot, which would be a waste of money and potential.

On one hand, am inclined to agree but on the other hand, if/when we let both Giroud AND Abraham go, we'll be left with only Havertz and Werner as the striker options. We obviously hope they and the others improve when it comes to converting chances next season but it's also risky given that struggle this season and with just 2 players for that position. Form, injury, suspension, rotation will play a part and both of them will likely play a lot together as well next season. I don't know about buying a big striker but we likely need at least 1 as an option, a rotation/backup.

Sancho all the way unless that striker is Haaland or Mbappe which aren't available.

That said Pulisic can play the false 9 if injuries start creeping.

Also want to believe this but not sure yet, hope PSG get Hakimi asap, Lautaro has been linked to Atletico this morning.

Also we still haven't been linked with Sancho from any reputable source yet, the longer we wait the more likely he goes to United.

That really should be the worst case scenario because Pulisic doesn't have a presence about him to be playing the False 9.

You probably right, wish we'd just extend Giroud another year and cope with it at least until next summer, I know he doesn't fit with Tuchel's tactics but still good to have his presence in the team.

As a third striker, we can always rely on a youth striker. I think our youth has shown how good they are.

Yeah but CHO has immense potential and he cant get any game time. Kai, Timo, MM and Puli are ahead. Ziyech still did solid job just like CHO and this is what you need from squad players. Getting Sancho would mean we have 5 players who should always be on the pitch but just 3 positions. Getting Sancho means CHO is gone.

I don't think so. Cho can also play as wingback if we continue with the formation. But that being said we need a big squad for rotation and injuries. So I much rather sell ziyech and get Sancho.

Plus now superseding Man City as the top ranked English club in next season's tournament and therefore claiming the 40% share of England's TV pool portion of the 21/22 CL prize money.

A tidy night's work.

Actually that is not the case unbelievably. I thought this was, but someone told me is wasn't true so I checked it out on UEFA site. Essentially, teams keep their TV percentage regardless. If a team wins it outside of the top 4, then the do not get anything.

However, the TV money isn't worth as much as I thought it would be. First, it only accounts for roughly 10% of total participation money (although this differs by country, in England it is probably a couple of percent more.) However, of that 10% it is split into two halfs, first half is based on lrague positions (although as teams drop out, their spread is then applied to the other teams left) and the other half based on performance. I did some real 'back of a fag packet maths' and calculated the difference was something like £8-10m for City and £2-3m for Chelsea; the Dippers and Utd fall inbetween those figures.

However, one thing that we have benefited from is a notch up the 10 year coefficient/historical performance standings. A CL win gives an extra 12 points which I believe now edges us above Atleti. That extra position is worth roughly £1m.
