guendouzi.

My God.

he is trash

so is the mini thug Lucas Torreira

I detest them both

I cannot normally make such a blanket statement for a top 30 in the world team

but literally, now that Emi Martinez was sold

the ONLY 2 players on the entire Arse first team roster who I would want here (realistic ages, so no 32yo next spring Auba)

are

Bukayo Saka

and

Gabriel Martinelli

Saliba may get there some day

Starting to wonder if Lampard actually even knows himself what he wants...

Frank Lampard 'changes his mind' over Declan Rice after Chelsea's loss to Liverpool

https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/frank-lampard-changes-mind-over-22724927

The Blues have been linked with a move for the England midfielder in the past but may now ramp up their attempts to sign the West Ham star

Frank Lampard has reportedly urged Chelsea to make a move for Declan Rice and has changed his mind about how he intends to use the England international in his side.

The Blues have long been linked with a move for Rice, who has impressed for West Ham over the past few seasons in spite of their struggles in the Premier League.

Initially it was reported that Lampard wanted to convert Rice from his central midfield position into a centre-back to act as cover for the likes of Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma.

But according to The Athletic Lampard has changed his mind following his side's disappointing 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, and wants Rice to sit just in front of the back four for his team.

So, what the hell happens if the window closes and we're unable to find buyers for a bunch of our deadwood? They just sit out for months and do fuck all until at least January? Doesn't seem like anyone at all has any interest in Drinkwater. Bakayoko links have gone quiet. Likewise Emerson.  Frank seems to still fancy Barkley. If we are indeed serious about a new DM we'd only have a short period to sell one of our current crop.

Seems like there's a hell of a lot of movement that needs to happen in not a whole lot of time.

30 dregs/not needed/too old soon/simply not good enoughs we have to dump or in some cases may dump this window or the next two

CHO (hopefully comes good) and who to keep out of Rudiger/AC/Zouma are the only question marks in my book, plus damaged goods RLC is so close to being on the chopping list, or needs to be loaned out for one or two years (this and maybe next if it was up to me) to see if he is ever going to recover, which is a damn shame

Tiemoué Bakayoko
Emerson
Michy Batshuayi
Davide Zappacosta
Danny Drinkwater (think we end up absolutely eating most of the £63m we shit away on his fee and wages)
Jorginho
Abdul Rahman Baba
Victor Moses
Kenedy
Marco van Ginkel
Juan Familia-Castillo
Charly Musonda Jr.
Matt Miazga
Lewis Baker
Jamal Blackman
Lucas Piazón
Jake Clarke-Salter
Izzy Brown
Luke McCormick
Jacob Maddox
Ross Barkley
RLC (perma damaged goods I fear)
Rudiger? (1 has to go, probably 2)
AC? (1 has to go, probably 2)
Zouma? (1 has to go, probably 2)

CHO? (if no improvement, but surely we have to try to get him up to the level he was showing before the injury)
Kepa
Marcos Alonso
N'Golo Kanté (deffo needs to be gone by next summer at the latest, he is no longer WC and hurts the team when he is rammed into the formation, I do not care if thsi makes me hated here, I am not backing off it, he is not a holding DMF and Lampard has no clue how to use him with the players we have at present, he will be 31 next season, towards the end, and he is injury prone and is plummeting in value right before out eyes)
Willy Caballero (obviously will be gone next summer, zero chance we keep and play a 40 year old GK)

Why would we even consider loaning out CHO? I feel like he will 100% be needed this season and quite often so. RLC and Barkley should go out long before Callum does.

Also, I know I'm probably alone here but I'd be really sad to see Rüdiger go. Always liked him and think he can rediscover his form with the right partner and a competent keeper behind him. Would be a mistake to sell him. I'd be pissed if AC remains and Toni goes. 😡

No, Mount will play the most matches, when someone is injured or needs some rest. CHO will only play Caraboa Cup and some low level Fa Cup matches. Nothing more.

Looks like he is doing that mistake right now with CHO. Before season I was sure that he will be 1st backup for both Ziyech and Pulisic. Now with both out he got 10mins in 2 games?!

Also about training I think this is the issue. We heard many times that Mount is working so hard on training (coming on day off etc...) and CHO is probably just doing normal like others. So Frank sees this and thinks: I cannot bench Mason because he works harder than CHO and others.

But I think this is wrong. Determination is great but do not ignore talent...

Lampard's "work hard, train hard" = Conte's "we must be prepared to suffer"

Given how often Lampard has emphasized that player needs to work hard, train hard and all that in training, it would have been interesting if he was managing Hazard now considering Hazard is not one to take training seriously.
I do not think any coach cared what Hazard did in training as long as he carried us to titles like he did couple of times

Frank is often not on the same place with words and actions. Remember height issues solving with taller players? Hazard have weight issues tho...

Of course and every player should be expected to train properly in training but Lampard seems to emphasize that a lot till the point it feels like he's picking the players solely on that. Obviously he considers other factors as well but it just feels like he reads too much into the training stuff.

I hope to be proven wrong down the line but I have the feeling that Lampard doesn't quite know what he wants and does not want based on the constant flip flopping seen over the last 14 months or so.
