Not sure if Coutinho is even proving anything at Bayern...
As far as I heard from some Bayern fans, they seem to like him. But Hansi prefers German players and he lets Cou play sometimes as a left winger. Hard to tell

Just been thinking about Athlti's financial situation and the £50m they owe us for Morata (which is water tight - unless Fifa fu*k about with the rules.) If they cannot pay, we may be able to use it as leverage to get Oblak. What does everyone else think?

Can we move kepa ?

Not sure playing Coutinho as left wing is a problem.

From what I have seen from Cou as a left winger when he played for Barcelona, I would not want to have him here.
I prefer Boga or Sancho as a left winger over Cou

Barcelona boss Quique Setien makes U-turn over Philippe Coutinho’s future amid Chelsea interest

https://metro.co.uk/2020/04/16/barcelona-boss-quique-setien-makes-u-turn-philippe-coutinhos-future-amid-chelsea-interest-12563291/?ITO=squid&ito=newsnow-feed

Barcelona boss Quique Setien says Philippe Coutinho still has a future at the club despite persistent rumours linking him with a move, while he has made it clear that any suitors will need to pay a premium. The Brazilian struggled to live up to his mammoth price tag after arriving at Camp Nou from Liverpool and was sent out on loan to Bayern Munich this past season – though the German side will not take up their option to make the deal permanent. A return to the Premier League appears most likely, with Chelsea believed to be at the front of the queue to sign the Brazilian though Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United and even former club Liverpool have all been linked.

But Setien, who took over in January, has moved to quell speculation that Coutinho could leave and says the 27-year-old will be welcomed back into the squad unless a mammoth offer is made. Asked about Coutinho’s future, Setien told RAC1 on Wednesday evening: ‘I think Coutinho is a great player, I really like him. ‘He is still a Barcelona player. You have to pay the clause or pay a sum to Barca. ‘I think he can be here at the beginning of next season. I have to talk to him to ask him.’

German outlet Kicker report that at some point recently Chelsea 'have made direct contact' with RB Leipzig to sign Timo Werner.

Isn't Kicker the most reliable of all the main German sports media outlets?

Is this rhetorical question? Guy from Germany just answered.

Anyway from Werner point of view Chelsea should be over Liverpool because of the obvious reasons.

Jorginho - 60mn
Kante - 70mn
Pasalic - 15mn

0 net spend and we end up making a crazy squad
Can do this over a 2 year period so less focus on just 1 window

Gk - Donnarumma/Blackman/Caballero
Rb - Reece/Azpi
Cb1 - Rudiger/Christeansen
Cb2 - Romagnali/Tomori
Lb - Telles/Azpi/Maathsen
Cm1 - Rice/Gilmour
Cm2 - Kovacic/Rlc
Amf - Werner/Mount/Gallagher
Lw - Sancho/Hudson Odoi
Rw - Ziyech/Pulisic
St - Tammy/Giroud/Broja

Couple of players who fill in multiple positions like werner, Ziyech, Azpi and Rice makes this a heck of a squad

Just a pipe dream not even 20% of this is gonna happen i am sure

It's a very real situation everyone is experiencing right now and it's foolish to not expect the whole football world suffer somewhat, including ourselves.

We've already signed Ziyech which I think will prove to still be a great value signing, and if we can bring in a top quality left back and striker this next window also, I'd be pretty happy with that considering the circumstances.

Anything else I think should be considered a bonus.

As a side note though there may be clubs across the continent willing to sell players at a discount price depending on their finances and if we are in a position of strength we may well be able to take advantage of this. Particularly if we're prepared to pay more or all of the fee up front which will help clubs much more in the short term.
