On the other hand, it's very heartwarming that wholeChelsea discussion board is pissed off that we got a pen, lol. Unimaginable with some other teams.

I love mendy

But no reason for the club to lie about this one.

Probably not. Lamps might be doing a Fergie so he doesnt have to play for the national team, at the same time giving him a rest  No fun though being isolated from his team mates

I could understand if they said he is in self-isolation or suspected contact, but tested positive? Covid is too serious to be used in such cynical way. Well, at least I hope so…

And he would have to hide for two weeks anyway, as it would be media meltdown if he was spotted anywhere during quarantaine.

Yeah they wouldn't say he had Covid as get out technique, above all else imagine the consequences if he then gets it for real? It would be used as 'evidence' that immunity isn't long lasting.

We've seen various medical miracles in the past, lol, but right now Covid is not a topic for jokes.

Any explanation of Kepa not in squad, or he was officially promoted to keep his eye on the team bus during the match?

Recently picked up a shoulder injury. Don't think he's fully recovered yet.

I remember it was an Asian country....:cig:

That clubs 'official' explanations for absences/injuries can be fictional

Best one was Kieron Dyer - took viagra on a Friday night and it hadn't worn off. Official line - Groin strain. 🤣🤣🤣

Weird choice of squad rotation...but will hopefully be proven wrong.

Would have thought Kovacic would be the natural choice to replace Havertz, keeping Kante where we was at CDM. Not a fan of Kante playing further forward. Or Jorghino being the defensive shield.

Could have also given either Timo or Tammy a rest, and brought in Giroud/CHO.

No rest for Thiago either.
