Last time I looked it was 14 days self isolation but they change the rules every day. What about your country ?

The standard 14 days where I am at.

If it is 14 days, then he's unlikely to join up with the Germany squad, which would obviously be good for us.

True but having read Secret Footballer, you start to doubt a lot of the 'official' lines, by all clubs

You will just have to Google the countries and narrow it down.

What are you trying to suggest?

That clubs 'official' explanations for absences/injuries can be fictional

But no reason for the club to lie about this one.

Probably not. Lamps might be doing a Fergie so he doesnt have to play for the national team, at the same time giving him a rest  No fun though being isolated from his team mates

I could understand if they said he is in self-isolation or suspected contact, but tested positive? Covid is too serious to be used in such cynical way. Well, at least I hope so…

And he would have to hide for two weeks anyway, as it would be media meltdown if he was spotted anywhere during quarantaine.

Yeah they wouldn't say he had Covid as get out technique, above all else imagine the consequences if he then gets it for real? It would be used as 'evidence' that immunity isn't long lasting.

We've seen various medical miracles in the past, lol, but right now Covid is not a topic for jokes.
