LDN Blue 7,903
Signing Drogba back as a player will be a step backwards for the club imo and it sends the wrong message from the youngsters.. I.e. Lukaku. Rambo, Stats and yuvala

robsblubot 3,595
Didier takes time to meet fan in Sao Paulo: http://globoesporte.globo.com/sp/campinas-e-regiao/copa-do-mundo/noticia/2014/06/drogba-recebe-drogbinha-realiza-o-sonho-de-fa-baiano-e-ouve-promessa.htmlCan use translate, but it's essentially saying the charismatic player made his day and even held fan's baby who's named "Drogbinha" (little drogba). The_Flash 1,144
Name 1 of these 'so many games' and ill go and have a look.Id have to go through all my recordings to get the specific games and to honest they were hard enough to watch first time. I don't have time just now maybe later but it's hardly worth arguing mate, he was rubbish, they we were all rubbish. lets move onBack to about Didier....Is this happening or was it rubbish? didierforever 7,349
he has STILL got it!!!! in no way would he be a step backwards. he will be a far more effective 3rd striker than BA and torres combined. and its not just about football but also his presence and character on the field which is just immense. moreover he can have the player-manager coach. would be a great addition to the dressing room too after lamps and cole have gone. stroey
y10edn 185
Drogba was gr8 but apart from coaching, it would be a waste of space for him to dorn the CFC jersey in a competitive game, he is definitely pushing his body beyond the limit now,
Eidur the Spider 4,515
Chelsea are exploring the feasibility of bringing Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge. #CFC (Mail)Jose Mourinho has a strong relationship with Drogba and is interested in the idea of him taking on a player-coach role. #CFC (Mail)

didierforever 7,349
if we can offload torres and ba, DD as the 3rd striker would be great. also, he can literally KNOCK SOME SENSE into lukaku.

LDN Blue 7,903
I don't think this 'rumour' will go away until he comes back as a coach.
HD3D 1,038
To the guys saying this is a bad idea, who would you have as our 3rd striker? We're in the middle of the season playing a key match and Costa is injured. Lukaku is on but so far it's not working. The manager looks at the bench. Would you prefer him to see Drogba or Ba?Yes he is 36 years old, but then again so is Klose. Jype 6,398
If the only argument against getting him back as 3rd choice striker / coach is the perfect way he left the club the first time around, then I'm not sure I understand. If Mourinho thinks Drogba at 36 to be a perfect candidate for the player-coach role because he won't complain about the lack of playing time yet can still contribute massively when called upon then why not get him? Also who's to say his second farewell wouldn't be even more legendary, for example after a treble winning season? Stats 7,142
Like someone said before his final kick against Bayern should remain his final kick with Chelsea. He left in a brilliant way and Didier is a legend but we have to move on. We shouldnt be bringing him back at 36 years of age. Not supportive of this idea at all and hope there is no truth to it. I would rather us discipline Lukaku and keep him along than get Drogba back.

On this, we might as well retain Ba for another season, I doubt Drogba's wage demands have dropped considering what he got paid in China and then Gala. Popular Post! Term-X 7,891 Posted July 10, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted July 10, 2014 It was such a small-time move for Arsenal to bring back Henry, it's a backwards step; the big clubs move forward, they don't look back.
