It's a start. Too bad he's not with us until next season. Urgh. :(

Ffs, we split the difference evenly between their insane £70m valuation and our £45m offer and DON'T EVEN get him now!

Our board are idiots! Only thing they see is yank dollars in marketing value.

That's a lot of money for sure

Why does he stay there until end of the season tho? As far as I know he has been sitting on the bench for most of the season and surely the club won't give him any more game time knowing that he'll leave soon

This will be basically a transfer that costs nothing when we flog Willian for more or less this price.

I am sceptical about that. I think that 60-millions offer from Barca was once in a lifetime chance. Who would give that kind of money for a 30-yo, after this season in which he would score what, 5 goals?

Transfer prices are still crazy, even if we clawed back 40M for him it covers the fat of the Pulisic figure.

Willian should be the first out of the door ahead of Pedro.

Willian is going nowhere I wager.

Knowing the board

Our front 3 next year will end up being

LW Willian

RW Pulisic

CF Morata or Callum Wilson or Arnautovic (unless we take Eden and CHO sale money and buy Icardi, which pretty much HAS to happen)

willian is staying long term, last summer was the time to sell and improve, but sarri didn't want to and has kept playing him

So much negativity. Brilliant signing, a potential superstar (he's only 20!) for £57.6m, which is nothing in today's market. Timing can be questioned, but if we do miss out on a Champion's League spot and end up losing Hazard, then it won't be another catabolic sh*tshow of a market trying to get anything and everything come the summer. Immense potential, great transfer!
