I want to watch prometheus but I haven't seen the original alien movies, should I watch those first?

As far as the last film I watched I watched Cabin in the Woods which was great, really funny with lots of twists.

007 Skyfall

A very good James Bond movie. One of the best I`ve ever watched. Daniel Craig is sublime in his role, it fits him perfectly!

Up there with GoldenEye, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger and Casino Royale.

I want to watch prometheus but I haven't seen the original alien movies, should I watch those first?

Watch Alien and Aliens. Both are fantastic sci fi/horror/action movies and are actually pretty complex with interesting subtexts. Prometheus is enjoyable and beautiful to look at, but it's not nearly as good as the first two Alien movies. (Alien 3 is terrible and Alien 4 is mediocre).

IMDb is a load of shit, how is Batman Begins rated 8.3?, i thought it was a very poor film, i like the other two batman films, but begins was very poor.

I don't get the crack with Warrior either, 8.2 rating, it's probably one of the most untalented shit ever. So predictable, it's one of them typical stupid american films, like yeah some guy could just rip a tank door off by it's hinges, then he comes back as a mma fighter to fight his brother, what a load of shit. Only Chuck Norris can do that.

Don't get me wrong Avatar was predictable, but it was also a masterpiece, i loved the brand new software. Stories can be predictable, doesn't mean there bad, but you have to display them in the best way, and Avatar did it in a great way, as for Warrior it was just way too dull, from the start you knew what was going to happen and nothing really had you on the edge. A typical dumb american film, like some of the shit The Rock is in.

Surely people rate these things on IMDb?, because no way could proffessionales themselves actually rate these movies above 8.0, it's pretty insulting.

I agree IMDB isn't good anymore, been ruined due to masses of 12 yo rating the likes of Fast & Furious 10's. Although I definitely disagree that Batman Begins is poor, fantastic film imo. And Warrior, of course it isn't as good as the rating, its not supposed to be a masterpiece, but its still an enjoyable film. The problem is people don't release that the rating system is between 1-10, most see it as either 1 or 10.

The first one sucked i thought however, no story to it at all, but you're entitled to your opinion, of course it's all a matter of tastes. I think it all comes down to what you like, i am not a fan of superhero movies myself, i don't like far fetched movies if you get me. Films what really get to me are the likes of Hotel Rwanda and such.

Hotel Rwanda wasn't that great. Pretty much about a hotel manager and a bunch of refugees.
