communicate 2,703
I disagree but opinions will vary my suggestion is to watch 2 games from midseason last year then two of the last 4 or 5 games and just zoom in on Jorginho I see a difference, he is more aggressive this year, and is not afraid to move into a more forward position, and also seems to me to be more consistent in his defence I have grown to love him as a MF shame he isnt 22 or 23, as that would mean 8 or 9 or so great years    As a dm, you want to be more conservative especially when you are not athletic. You simply vacate one of the most dangerous spot on the field without having ability to recover

!Hazard! 3,394
I still can't believe we have Kante, Kovacic AND Jorginho. Give me any of those 3 in around 2013 and I'd be over the moon. And on top of that we also have Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Gilmour etc. Oh boy Yeboii

Not that that's gonna happen anytime soon lol

Not that that's gonna happen anytime soon lol Our squad depth has low-key become really strong this season. Our benches this term have been full of game changing options (as Lampard alluded to himself in a recent match) even though we're still yet to have a fully fit squad available. Think this is the first time since 2009/2010 we have had such a deep squad in terms of quality, recent years it's always been about 15 first team players and the rest scratch players to make up the numbers in domestic cup games (like Kenedy and ageing Ferreira). It would still be this way if Lampard wasn't the manager. Every other manager would marginalize the youngsters and they wouldn't even be in conversation as depth options. Otherwise, if you looked at our squad before season's start, not many would say we had great quality in depth after Hazard's and Luiz's departures. Even Jorginho and Kovacic were slaughtered before; Tomori wasn't considered anywhere near starting quality; Tammy, Mount were big question marks too - but look at them now. Lamps has created those options himself and I couldn't be happier with his work so far. BlueLyon and Tomo

Mostly because previous managers tolerated bench like shite. Alonso and Emerson are both delivering for example. They are somewhat on same respectful level for Lamps. Sarri for example first tolerated Emerson badly and kept playing Alonso despite his bad form and then turned the other way around. Either way, whoever was on the bench was out of the plans. Lamps counts on all players and he actualy does that, not just says it. The easiest example here is Bats tho. Tammy is undisputed starter right now, but Lamps still gives Bats minutes and he delivers. When you have a backup striker who is taking chances and scores, you are doing good job in managing. The only two players that Lamps will keep on playing regardless of form seem to be Jorginho (due to being only player with specific qualities) and Willian (#10, experience, status). The rest of the team will rotate based on whoever is fit and in form. Thats why the bench performs well. There is no more shit like player x plays great game, but he never gets another chance because player y is managers boy. Tomo

In fact such players are quite rare, this is why you can name only a handful of them, who have deservedly become football legends.
