We have beast DM in Kante, but he cant play that role in Sarri system. We have beast RB in Azpi, but he cant play Sarri type fullback. We have world class Hazard but he isnt suited to play recieve and release Sarriball, because he likes to dribble too much. We bought Jorginho to be our holding mid, but we play in a league that makes that almost suicide. We played great in the beggining though, but opponents found us quickly and Sarri has no plan B, cant rotate, doesnt use youth, always does the same subs etc. All that said, Id love if we somehow managed to overturn it, keep Sarri and he transforms us into what he supposed to do, after all we need to give managers more time. But I just cant support manager that makes no changes after humiliating results and doesnt use youth despite shit after shit performances by senior players. Couldn't agree more. Everyone wanted Sarri to succeed. We all wanted to give this man time and hopefully watch our team blossom into a monster that rivals Peps and Klopps but his decision making is farcical. I can no longer back this man after the way he has frozen out our youth prospects when the old gaurd have played like Sunday league players for months. The whole purpose of Sarri was to usher a new era at Chels. He has fucked up big time. Popular Post! Superblue 6,372 Posted February 19, 2019 Popular Post! Share Posted February 19, 2019 What some have alluded to on here, the biggest problem with Sarri seems to be that he has listened to Guardiola's advice (he's even admitted to this) and focused on a core group of about 15 players to work his philosophy on for this season. When that core group have proven to not be good enough, poor form, injuries, etc he's backed himself into a position by then having a group of players that (1) he hasn't bothered helping to learn his philosophy and (2) alienated from the rest of the group. His stubbornness is a by-product of the above and is a major error of judgement. Like others have said, if things weren't going well but he was giving chances to other players, or making changes in game to impact then I'd be prepared to give him some leeway and time. But he's currently offering nothing to encourage us to show faith and support to him. kellzfresh, Sideshow Luiz, 0007 and 3 others

But change this "Sarri type" with "possession-attacking type". Sarri is not the only manager our players aren't compatible with. Given the way our board work, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Marina and co. not doing their homework before appointing Sarri. They probably just thought "OH, he plays the football that we want. Let's hire him!". If they had done their due diligence, they would have foreseen the issues caused by Sarri happening and stayed away from him. There is a difference between players not trying at all and players giving their all but being left exposed and helpless because of the manager throw them into a system that's destined for disaster. 1905didierblue and Vesper
