Nothing at the moment suggests that. It's difficult watching CHO play as its incredibly predictable. He gets the ball, holds on to it for 5 seconds, then recycles it. Until he builds the confidence to actually make runs behind defenders or to take players on, he'll continue being considered the most over hyped youth player on the planet.

Our whole attack is extremely predictable which doesn't help him (couple of passes then pass to James who crosses it in)

Predictable as in 34 goals in 13 games?

We haven't played any strong teams other than Liverpool (guess put in Sevilla as well although they're doing terrible in la liga) yet - unless we continue to improve our attack we'll be found out soon enough against better sides

But that was never the issue last season? The issue was failing to kill games off against teams that played a low block. Our play was very predictable and slow that allowed the opposition to sit back and remain organised.

We scored 14 goals against 4 shitehouses in Palace, Burnley, West Brom, and Seffield. Games where we struggled massively last season.

That aspect has improved, but I can't see us being successful long term with crossball as our main attack; it's also a massive waste of talent we have. What happens if/when James can't play? We have no plan B as attack through the middle is non-existent

What goals of those 14 have James been directly involved in?

90% of our threats come from a James cross whether we score or not; more recently though it has been Ziyech cross leading to actual goals

So now we are moving the goal posts from: Our attack only goes through James, to 90% of our threats come from a James cross and/or Ziyech.

Cheers for avoiding my questions by the way. The answer is none. James was involved in 0 goals against sides that were massive shitehouses.

1st goal : West Brom - Mount shot from distance

2nd goal : West Brom - Havertz + CHO link up play.

3rd goal: West Brom - Attack initially came through a CHO pass to the box

1st goal: Palace - Abraham + Chilwell link up

2nd goal: Palace - Chilwell cross to Zouma

3rd goal: Palace - Penalty

4th goal: Palace - Penalty

1st goal: Burnley - Abraham + Ziyech link up

2nd goal: Burnely - Mount corner to Zouma

3rd goal: Burnley - Ziyech + Werner link up

1st goal: Sheffield - Ziyech + Kovacic + Abraham link up play

2nd goal: Sheffield - Ziyech cross to Chilwell

3rd goal: Sheffield - Ziyech cross to Silva

4th goal: Sheffield - Werner one on one.

Can't confirm or deny unless I go back and watch the highlights of the games, but James crosses, or crosses in general, have driven 90% of our threats stays true. Most open play goals have had lucky bounces / touches here and there as well.

All of this is to say I really expect more from the talent we have on our team and think we'll get exposed against a run of good teams. Lampard has done well to fix up our defense (also really a function of just signing 3 good players at the back) but really hopes he adds some flair into our attack

I see. Shame, probably would have been the sub impact that we need but i can understand it is difficult to drop puli and Havertz.

Unless the Premier League change the sub rule and increase the bench options, some players are gonna get left out altogether from matches when everyone is fit. We still have Gilmour to come back, although I suppose he might well replace Jorginho/Kovacic on the bench, depending on who is playing.
