Let's see how he fares against quality teams before we pass judgment. His good performances so far have come against relegation fodders in West Brom, Hull, Palace.

Against top quality we use a false 9 so the judgement won't even come.

Again hes impressed me, maybe never scored but he looks motivated and wants to prove a point. Lack of quality opposition or not, you can only play against whoever is next and when hes played, hes looked good.

He has been in the premier league for a long time, it's not like he's an unproven quantity, his hold up play and vision has always been amazing and probably one of the best in the game, but he just won't score many goals and that's why he could never become a top team striker, he isn't the most clinical in front of goal, and we'll just have to accept that.

Can't blame him. He's not very good but Conte did the right thing by putting him in the starting-11; he deserved that.
