Madmax 9,219
We would probably get around £4m to £5m which is what we would like to recoup for players we have developed if they move on at this stage. The academy earns back the money spent in no time....Is it true we got 7.5 mn for Stoch? You think di Santo will move on as well?
EskWeston 696
Is it true we got 7.5 mn for Stoch? You think di Santo will move on as well?Well according to reports that is the figure we got. I think that is fair enough given the lads talent and the season he had last season, would be delighted if we signed a player like Stoch for 7.5m... Di Santo will get his chance to impress in Pre season i would imagine, chances are with Sturridge and Borini pushing to get games it is likely that Di Santo will move on, but we will see, the boy has talent the question is if Carlo will wait to see if it really comes through. TrueChelseaBlue 105
Always been a big fan of Mancienne and will be sad to see him go if the club feels that needs to happen.. especially the amount of time he's been at the club.Di Santo... he has alot of talent, but he hasnt really lived up to the expectation yet. if Chelsea are gonna keep him, he needs to improve, alot. caesarblues 51
Rising star wants out Last Updated: Sun, 25 Jul 2010 17:54 Wolves' hopes of signing Michael Mancienne on a permanent basis from Chelsea have been boosted by reports he has asked for a transfer. The Sunday Express claim the former England under-21 international, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Molineux, wants the chance to play regular first-team football for a club he belongs to.Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has made no secret of his desire to re-sign the Mancienne but has been waiting for the Blues to decide what role he has at Stamford Bridge. It's thought Chelsea would want as much as £4m for the player who can play either in defence or in midfield.Mancienne told the Express: "I've been at Chelsea since I was a kid and I'd love to break into the first team, but it's hard for any young player knowing how much quality they've got."I've had two seasons on loan at Wolves and had regular games and really enjoyed it. Now I want to be settled at one club."However, Mancienne may have to wait until the January window for his future to be resolved with the Blues set to be without the injured Alex for the start of the season, while fellow centre-back Ricardo Carvalho has expressed a desire to join Real Madrid. LDN Blue 7,903
I do feel sorry for him. He's a good player showing promising sides, we can't somehow fit him into our plans. Was a bit surprised not to see him in the pre-season squads of late, who knows what the future holds for him now..

Was a bit surprised not to see him in the pre-season squads of late, who knows what the future holds for him now..maybe its because he's injured? Like they've mentioned in everey Match-Report so far? I belive Mancienne will do the Backup-Job like Belletti did, and Cork will compete in DM and CB....
5354 204
'Michael Mancienne is training with us now and he is here. We have to consider him as a Chelsea player. Now he is here and I don't know if for him it is better, we will take a decision maybe next week about his situation.' BlueLion. 21,491
Just sell him, no point continuously loaning out a player who will never be first choice material at Chelsea.
zolayes 14,489
would be sad and not do us great credit if an England U 21 who has been with us since a boy isnt even considered worthy of a squad place.be only our second GENUINE homegrown player
Manuf 1,448
Same goes for Cork. He played for us since he was nine or something. He too deserves a chance. But it's either him or Mancienne.

5354 204
Wolves favour Mancienne loanWolves boss Mick McCarthy admits he would prefer to bring Michael Mancienne back to the club on loan. The versatile Chelsea man has enjoyed two successful short-term spells at Molineux over recent seasons and is being tipped to return to the Midlands this year.Reports had suggested that a permanent switch was in the offing, with Wolves ready to match the 22-year-old's £4million valuation. However, with budgets tight, McCarthy has revealed that he would favour another loan agreement were he to make a move for Mancienne. He said: "I would like to see my quote where I said I would be prepared to pay £4million."I am pretty good at remembering what I said but I am red hot at remembering what I haven't!"We won't be buying Mancienne. They want to sell him. If they want to loan Michael out again, then that's a different matter altogether."I haven't discussed it with Chelsea. From my understanding, they want to sell him and he's asked for a transfer. They want to sell him rather than loan him."I would be interested if they want to loan him out again but that's up to them."
EskWeston 696
Carlo has said a decision will be made on mancienne in the next week or 2. Seems more likely he will move on now though i think.
NoFear 23
Definitely he is gonna get sold. Otherwise Carlo would hv been very clear in saying NO. but chose not to. Sad actually. I think he could be a really useful utility player for us. Not exactly starting 11 types, but for rotations. But maybe he wants to be playing regularly each season. Cant blame him. Duppy Conqueror 1,533
*Source: The Independent*Chelsea defender Michael Mancienne has agreed another season-long loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers after the Premier League champions refused to budge on a £5m asking price for the defender. The decision to reject Wolves' final offer of £3m is thought to have gone right to the top to Roman Abramovich himself with Chelsea making it clear to Wolves that it would be £5m or no deal. Mancienne, 22, who has made six appearances for the first team, has already had two temporary loan spells at Wolves over the previous two seasons. Mancienne would have preferred a permanent transfer as he now feels that he has no future at the club to which he has been attached since the age of eight. His £25,000-a-week wages make him the highest earner among the academy generation at Chelsea and have been a discouraging factor to clubs, including Newcastle, who have made enquiries. The indications from Carlo Ancelotti is that in terms of preferment Jeffrey Bruma, 18, who made his senior Netherlands debut this month, is ahead of Mancienne to take Ricardo Carvalho's place in the squad. A regular England under-21 player who was even called up to a senior squad by Fabio Capello in November 2008, Mancienne has found it frustrating trying to make headway with the club. He made his senior debut in the FA Cup in February last year but now finds himself passed over as another generation of academy-produced players try to break into Ancelotti's first team squad. Mancienne is the latest player to leave Chelsea who would have been eligible to qualify as one of the club's home-grown players under the new Premier League squad quotas. Joe Cole has joined Liverpool and Sam Hutchinson has been forced to retire. Mancienne, who has two years remaining on his Chelsea contract, made 33 appearances for Wolves last year. As Chelsea seek to balance their squad in anticipation of the 25-man submission to the Premier League next week, they have also farmed out the Serbians Nemanja Matic, 22, and Slobodan Rajkovic, 21, on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands.
