he's had 3 months to demonstrate even basic ability - if it hasn't come yet , whats the sense in trying further? - if only we have de bruyne and salah this much time - we might be able to score against norwich and 10 man leicester. But only the actual average/poor players are persistently selected

There is bad and there is bad... One thing is a player struggling in a new club and new league. Another is a player who looks completely out of his depth, like Bakayoko.

I'm sorry, but I don't need 3 months to see he's not a good player. 

People obsessed with his physicality need to realize that being physical is not nearly enough at this level. Yaya bossed midfields (in England only!) for being physical on top of excellent! technique. Barcelona and Real boss midfields with skillful midgets.

I still stick to the opinion that he can come good here, but Conte needs to give him a break. He is completely shot off confident and it has got to a point that he is shying away from the ball and he seems also frightened to receive it. He needs to build up confidence. It is good that we have Barkley coming in. Bakayoko just needs to have a little break and work on his technical game. He panics under pressure and he knows the crowd are on to him when he receives the ball. It was actually glaring to see the amount of times, Bakoyoko did not offer himself for a pass in difficult situations because he is scared about making a mistake. Hope he can come good but defo needs a break from the team.

I hope you are right, but not sure it's about confidence. Look at his hands/arms while he is making the simplest of passes - that's usually a red flag when assessing players' technique.

Said this before but the pace of the game here has shocked him. See Bernardo Silva too. I don’t think we will see him at his best till next season. He does need a break and hopefully Barkley can now allow that.

I think it is confidence. He feels so under pressure and below confidence that he is not concentrating and becoming sloppy in all angles of play.
