He isn't too bad with Chelsea stuff. Pretty sure he was first with Fabregas, Pato, possibly Nainggolan too although not 100%

 

If the story is true, goes to show that not only are us fans excited by Conte, but players are taking notice aswell

The information Matt law bases his story on may be accurate, but the claims could still be wrong. This could very easily be a plant by Kante's agent intend to say to other interested clubs, that it's time to bid up either the wages offered to the player, or the fee offered to the agent, or both.

Journalists must know, or at least must get a feel for when a story is a plant but they'll likely go with it anyway for a couple of reasons. A story they can stand up is still a story and they can do deals with agents where they do her/him a favour by running the story in exchange for early access to some information or other later on.

Some concerning wording in that article about his release clause. Says that Liecester aren't required to sell the moment a team triggers the clause, but instead the £20m is the base amount someone will pay. In other words, if multiple clubs trigger the clause a bidding war may occur and the price could skyrocket.

We'll have to hope he truly wants to come to Chelsea and tells Liecester to accept it or someone like PSG, United, or Arsenal can come in and also trigger the clause to screw us. Different situations, but wouldn't want to get "Willian'd" here. We trigger the release clause and then he goes elsewhere.

Kante is an outstanding player. He proved it at Leicester and also with France during the Euro championship.

I very much hope that deal could be finalized. It would be all thanks to our new manager Conte who also managed to convince Michy to sign for us.

Is he really that good ? Is he someone who can prevent our midfield from being overrun by teams like PSG and Barcelona ? Can he retain the ball ? I am hesitant because we've bought lots of flash in the pan midfielders in the past years.

Not on his own but for the price??? You're not gonna find one guy who sits in front of the defence who will stop PSG and Barcelona from getting forward. He is a piece not the answer.
