one time i have to go with Mourinho, a team of 11 daves and kantes would win everything, talent and attitude wise unbelievable. Especially since Kante even improved since joining us which I did not believe was in his locker but now he has drastically improved his long range passing among others.

I was referring to their respective positions, there's no one in the world that I would have instead of N'golo and Dave.

Just for the doubters i'm referring to defensive midfield, and right back, right center back, the both of them there's nobody i'd rather have.

Why do you seem surprised? If you look some pages back, there have been several posts saying how limited Kante is as a player, thus not belonging to the world class bracket. I remember that because i was laughing at how shortsighted people can be.  Of course now everyone joins in the hype and saying how much they love him, but you know how that goes.

I don't get it, limited. Kante is world class at what he does, so is Messi as comparison. Ask Messi to do Kante's work, he becomes the worst player on the pitch. Ask Kante to play creative attacker and he becomes an eyesore. Ergo both have limitations at what they can do. Being limited does not equal not being world class or however you want to call, in the end it means among the best in the world. Like if he is among top 10 in all top leagues in his position, it is 'world class'. Somewhy it seems only attackers escape extra responsibilities and get branded the best by simply scoring goals, doesn't matter if they can't or don't want to do other work for the team (Ronaldo? Özil?). But when a defender or defensive mid has limitations going forward, they are disregarded by some. Those who don't agree, I challenge them to name 10 players better in Kante's role, go! Or if you get stuck, name 5. I personally would struggle naming even 1 since last season when he wasn't even that good with the ball yet.

Lol, fuck 3-4-3. We play this formation only because our mf sucks balls. Classic 4-3-3 so Lampard can wreak havoc. With this midfield we can play 2-3-5 if we wanted to.

Assuming Conte was still here it would have to be 3-5-2 he's to rigid in his formations.

Jusut gonna fantasise about who we could match them with, but from our current squad.

It makes you appreciate that we once had Makelele, Essien, Lampard, Ballack and Mikel all at the same time.

Kante would have slotted seamlessly into that group.

Ace team if you change Carvalho for Ivan. Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think I would prefer prime Ivan over Azpi at RB. Azpi hasn't really played RB for us, he has excelled mainly at LB and RCB.

Who cares?

I mean 99% of Chelsea fans would happily throw Cahill and (uptill a couple of months ago) Willian in the bin if they got the choice yet they are arguably the two players out of this current squad who love this club the most. We can't do that then get pissy because our actual best players might want to try new things before their careers up loyalty works both ways and ultimately the most loyal party is always the one who needs the other the most (Cahill needs us more than we need him, but we certainly need Courtois and especially Hazard more than they need us).

Drogba did the same now he has legend status and is often used as an example of how our current players should behave, if Hazard does a u turn the same way and stays till late in his career (which given how good he is will almost certainly get him equal legend status) in ten years time it will be "(insert new player here) is a mercenary cunt, Hazard would never do this".
