I MISS JOHN TERRY SO MUCH PLAYING FOR FC Chelsea LONDON....
JOHN TERRY WAS A REAL LEADER.... JOHN TERRY WAS THE MAN....
JOHN TERRY WAS THE LEGEND.... JOHN TERRY WAS THE PLAYER!!

Yes, JT is by far and away our best ever captain.

One thing however is I really cannot see him becoming a manager because of his past with Ferdinand which is a shame as I reckon he would actually make for a good manager.

John Terry to return to Chelsea to assist with youth development

https://theathletic.com/news/john-terry-to-return-to-Chelsea-to-assist-with-youth-development/R5nBDXRm26Am/

John Terry is expected to return to Chelsea to assist the youth development side of the club.

The former defender has been out of work since leaving his job as an assistant head coach at Aston Villa. The Athletic understands he has registered an interest in various vacancies across England’s top two divisions but was politely let down.

He recognises that it would be incredibly difficult to land a Premier League job at this stage of his career, but the second tier, he hopes, is very much in his reach.

Terry, as it stands, is to return to Chelsea — the club he played for between 1998 and 2017.

The 41-year-old has been a regular visitor to Chelsea’s training ground and attended youth matches ever since he left the club in 2017. It helps that his house is just a few miles away from the base in Cobham, Surrey.

One source suggests that his close bond with former team-mate Petr Cech, who is now Chelsea’s technical and performance advisor, plus loan technical officer Carlo Cudicini and academy director Neil Bath has helped pave the way for his return.

What about becoming a manager?

Terry’s yet to be offered a job big enough to satisfy his ambitions.

The suggestion from those who know him well has always been that Terry will take his time to pick the right destination. Championship clubs with a low budget have been dismissed in the past.

“He wants an exciting project where he will be able to build his own team with sufficient backing,” says an associate with knowledge.

Why is he returning to Chelsea?

He is preparing to help out players in the lower age groups at Chelsea.

It’s understood he will be working away from the first team and with the academy.

Perhaps, after completing his pro licence earlier this year, he just wants to stay involved and continue learning until the right opportunity comes up.

Is there anything else I need to know?

Plenty. For more on Terry and what comes next, The Athletic’s Gregg Evans and Simon Johnson have taken a closer look.

Nothing wrong with that.

But overall Drogba for me is bigger legend than Terry/Lampard.

Negatives about Terry is that he let us down in 2 crucial moments in Chelsea history. Final in 2008 and brainless red card in semis 2012 (we somehow survived after that).

Plus there is a Bridge scandal from human point of view.

Lampard went to City after and even he had that scandal with American tourists in 2001.

Drogba never played for any top club after Chelsea always delivered when needed in big games and amazing lad off the pitch.

Oh are you black? Were you unanimously chosen to speak for black people and how they should feel? My mistake.

It’s racially insensitive. He’s been guilty of this far too much recently.

I saw many black people commenting on that post and none have issues so why should we?

Chelsea four fined for drunken abuse

By Alec Marsh
12:01AM BST 23 Sep 2001

FOUR Chelsea footballers have been fined by their club for drunkenly abusing grieving Americans at a Heathrow hotel 24 hours after the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.
The incident occurred after the club's UEFA Cup match against Levski Sofia of Bulgaria was postponed as a mark of respect for the thousands killed in the bombing of the World Trade Centre and Pentagon.
Some team members went on a five-hour drinking binge - culminating in their stripping naked and vomiting in public. The players, who were said to have been ejected from the third pub they had visited, shouted, laughed, threw peanuts and reportedly abused other guests.
Many of the guests were Americans whose planes were grounded following the terrorist attacks two weeks ago.
Following complaints, the players have been fined two weeks' wages for the incident, which took place the day after the attack on September 11.

The players involved, including the England Under-21 stars Frank Lampard, Jody Morris and John Terry, were said to have sneered and laughed at grieving relatives in the Posthouse hotel. Eidur Gudjohnsen, the 23-year-old Iceland international, was also involved in the drinking session and has been fined.
The players have been fined two weeks' wages for the incident, believed to be a total of £130,000. Gwyn Williams, the assistant manager of Chelsea, confirmed this last night.
"They were read the riot act and told in no uncertain terms what was expected of them," he said. "They were fined two weeks' wages and their wages have been donated to the American victims' fund.
"They were told by Colin Hutchinson [the managing director of Chelsea] and Claudio Ranieri [the manager] that it was unacceptable behaviour." Two weeks' wages is the maximum amount a player can be fined by his club.
A manager at Heathrow's Post House hotel said: "They were utterly disgusting. They just didn't seem to care about what had happened.
He added: "We had a lot of Americans here and were simply trying to comfort them in their hour of need. Meanwhile these men were laughing and joking, taking off their clothes and abusing our guests."
One witness said: "One of them was walking around laughing with everything hanging out out while on TV there were crying firemen searching for bodies. It was sick."
