Probably not the right attitude, but i don't really care what his wage is. He deserves it compared to some other players and is our Captain and best Defender.

Don't understand why his wages are of any consequence. Wages only matter from a financial standpoint (to me, as a fan) when the player they're being paid to doesn't put in performances that deserve them. It's all relative.

As far as putting a number on it, Jake Cohen has it down as £175000 p/w for the contract that was supposed to end in June. About the new deal, various figures being reported, from £140000 + bonuses (Times) to £175000 (Guardian). So not a huge difference.

I say this as HALF English and have supported them in every tournament. We have to have the excuse for when we inevitably go out on penalties, that WE DIDNT TAKE JT!!!!

I think Roy is a fool he's wasted so many careers, players who could easily still be playing for England. When you take ol' Lambert and not Cole, the mans a fool.
