TorontoChelsea 4,064
I would sue AF for damages, the man lost the captaincy before a major tournament because of him. I don't think Terry will though.Because he'd lose. He'd have to prove conclusively that he didn't say anything racist which is impossible. The reason Terry won the case is that there was no conclusive evidence either way. He still could be in trouble with the FA because their burden of proof will be a lot lower. It might be hard for them now though once a court has already ruled in his favour. (I hope)
zolayes 14,489
IF the F A have any sense they will close this case . Be interesting to see if media continue their lynch mob campaign

Stats 7,142
So all you chelsea fans that called him racist & turned your back on him. How you feeling now?Never doubted JT's innocence for a second. He's not that kind of man.I never called him racist and I am pleased he has fought his battle, there was a lack of evidence tbh but now at least we can focus on football matters solely. No need for the point scoring tbh, it was a serious matter and people were entitled to their opinions. However Ferdinand is very lucky to get away with what he had said because bringing in personal life matters is a huge lack of disrespect. People will still have their doubts over whether he said it or not but glad it is all over now anyway bababoom and dave30
TorontoChelsea 4,064
He absolutely would not lose.Yes he would. You can sue someone for defamation only if what they are claiming is false. Since what Ferdinand claimed cannot be proven to be false, you cannot sue him and win. It's a he said/he said situation. The same lack of hard evidence that made it impossible to say one way or another what was said in a criminal case, would make it equally impossible in a civil case. Hutcho 8,443
FA still looking at the case though... Though its been proven it wasn't racist, so unless they give him a ban for bad language in which case they would have to give bans to every bloody player in the league.Man on SSN trying to say that everyone is appalled about the fact they said bad words.... headhunter23 70
im just going to say for a while the starters were malouda/kalou/drogs/essien/ashley/anelka would find it kinda hard to be racist when more than half the starters are black, number 2 everyone says things in the heat of the moment, even if he said it he didnt mean it as a racist comment. Clevemayer 764
I was just saying you couldn't see what he was saying, and we have to wait what is happening at court, but straight after the first day it was clear there where no reasons to think terry had lied in this case, he did before (e. g. betraying his wife, or kicking sanchez in UCL) but not this time...its legal and good to wait before you give youre judgement on things, because everythign else is blind...
