The Mourinho Thread

You are wrong and you have gathered the wrong impression. I praised our board, for example, just after getting rid of Torres and signing Remy. That's if you really want a certain example. I praised Brana recently, after his great attacking displays, I praised Azpi, I praised JT etc. And even if I wouldn't have done that, you are still wrong to ignore all of my arguments and tell me that I'm not a Chelsea fan. If you disagree with me, I think it would be fair to tell me why I'm wrong and explain your point of view, instead of making false assumptions. I've been on this forum since 2010 (I was 17 back then). Do you really think that a 17 years old would join a forum like this and keep pretending to be a fan for 4 years?

right this is the situation. chelsea have no manager. jose has been sacked, left, whatever. who do you want as manger to play the attacking brand of football you bang on about.

You still don't get it do you? Real didn't win it playing their brand of football, they were a beaten team but for that one corner at the very end of the game. Chelsea won playing their brand of football which was to soak up the pressure and trying to look for opportunities to counter attack... believe me there is a difference, had we tried to play a cavalier offensive game against Bayern we surely would've lost. He was defending their brand of soccer was why they won. Anyway I digress...

Unless you live in the Borough of Chelsea, which I highly doubt you do, most teams choose a club that speaks to them and meets their philosophy for how they think the game should be played. You say you chose them because you felt like it as a kid? LOL I guess there's no one way to choose a club to say you'll back till the end of time but I would imagine the footballing philosophy has to play some part... What is it you enjoy about the club then? you just blindly follow it because you have done so for however long? the ethics, philosophy, spirit, policies and tradition have nothing to do with it? you just like them because you like them?

Real didn't win it, but they somehow got the trophy. Ok, I get it. Let's move on.

I started to follow Chelsea in 2003, when Mutu joined the club and the Romanian media started to be really hyped about Chelsea. I was watching every Chelsea game covered by the television. I still remember that Gronjkaer goal against Monaco, I still remember the blondes (Gudjhonsen and Duff), the tank that was Makelele and so on. Yes, there was this spirit, there was that atmosphere at the Bridge that made me like them. But I was way too young to understand tactics and philosophies. And I completely disagree with the statement that Chelsea always played like this. Remember the second part of the 2008-2009 season, when Hiddink was our manager.

cosmin what you have to learn is one thing, and one only. WIN OR LOSE UP THE BLUES, that's an old school chelsea saying!

If I was to give up on Chelsea or anything, I could've done it way earlier. I feel ofended that you jumped to the conclusion that I am not supporting the team "win or lose" only from the fact that I criticized the way that we played against City.

If this is the situation, I would certainly want Jurgen Klopp to be our next manager. Or Guss Hiddink. And no, I would never want Guardiola here.

Klopp is also struggling. Lost against Leverkusen and now again against Mainz. Already lagging behind Bayern. He also fked up some tactical things in the matches. So there's never a guarantee for a win. Atletico also lost to Piräus and drew Almeria. I'd stick with Jose over any other manager any time!

Yes, everyone has their reasons for coming to love the club. The point I was making is for the majority of the clubs rich history we've played this sort of football. Hiddink had us going pretty good football but I'm trying to remember what performances in particular you would say were a complete departure from the way we always played? Barca at the bridge?

The team you've come to know and love has always built their foundation on defense first.

Me too and I never said otherwise. I said that I would choose Klopp, in case Mourinho leaves us (it was just hypotetical situation), because I like his style and I like what he did at Dortmund. He's struggling now, yes, but that's not the point.

Would be really pissed as a Bayern-fan how he fked up the best team in the world. Playing the both best wingbacks in the World Alaba and Lahm in midfield and broke down their beautiful attacking game to boring short pass play. I seriously don't know what is wrong with that man. Ball possession>Result seems to be his aim.

Barca at the Bridge under Hiddink was a way better approach than Barca at the Bridge under Di Matteo, for example. You can't even compare the ties. But still, it's true that Hiddink had a better squad back then. This is another topic of discusion.

I think you are falling in the trap set by the media. Chelsea is not a defensive club. We just tend to adopt this approach at certain points of the seasons and this is what bothers me, to be honest. But Chelsea is also the club that set the goal scoring record in the Premier League, under Carletto, for example. Chelsea won a lot of games by playing good attacking football, even under Mourinho. The fact is that most of the time, we are not parking the bus. We just do it on some occasions, but I think that we should stop doing that because now our team is strong enough to allow Chelsea to look like a balanced positive team against any opponent. We have enough quality to try controlling any game or at least avoid parking the bus, even if it's against Barcelona or Real Madrid. Since I'm at it, I would like to point out again that, as I said before, City are far from going through their best times, and we should've at least tried to take advantage of that, by playing with a little bit more courage against them. Imagine if we were 8 points clear now. All that enthusiasm and that joy. And the message that would've been sent to any other team in the League and Europe: we are Chelsea, we just beat the champions, we are 8 points clear top of the league and we are not joking about this. Instead, now people are talking about how we parked the bus at 1-0 with 11 vs 10...
