"Abramovich's right hand Marina Granovskaia has been sent to Madrid to sort out the Jose Mourinho situation and secure his services." (El Confidencial)

On the last page there was something about Granovskaia meeting Jorge Mendes in London and now they're saying she's going to Madrid to continue the negotiations. Sounds promising, eh?

Raphael Honigstein revealed on Twitter this afternoon that he has received the confirmation from two separate sources.

"Mourinho to Chelsea buzz getting louder. two very different people with CFC connections insist it's a done deal," he wrote on Twitter. "One source an agent, the other a commercial partner of the club."

Mourinho, who is currently in charge of Real Madrid, left the Blues in 2007 following a three-year stint at Stamford Bridge.

There might well be a great massacre if he doesn't come back.

If he doesn't come back now, it will feel awful and i probably will cry. Never thought i'd ever miss someone so much. He was only here for 3 years but he feels so much a part of our club.

Just a word of warning, before AVB was appointed the world and his brother expected Hiddink to become our new manager................

Not really. The Hiddink rumours were nowhere near as strong as the Mourinho ones. I remember the odds on Harry Redknapp being suspended before AVB got appointed, so it was still quite unclear who would be our manager.
