Definitely NOT.

Why should he? Because he performed against the league's 2 worst teams in villa and newcastle. His first touch is laughable, his dibbling is poor to say the least if not useless. His finishing is atrocious.

Only thing that he is good at is movement. Might as well keep moses.

He's never been a dribbler, like I alluded to the way we have used him this season would be like telling Willian to play on the shoulder, he's not completely blameless but he's a very useful player when used right. He's not Hazard, you can't expect him to skin five player's to score/assist, there's more chance of Costa doing that.

You don't play for Pep if you're shit, Pedro's first goal in the 2011 CL final shows what he brings, I reckon he will be a decentfoil for Eden if/when he returns to his best, Pedro is use to combining with the likes of Messi, Ibra, Villa, so is probably best equipped to drum up a partnership with Eden.

He's not world class but can be useful if used correctly.

I was afraid this would happen. A few goals / decent performances when we have absolutely nothing to play for will get him an extra season. We'll be complaining about how shit he is by November.

So Hazard shouldn't get next season in CFC becouse he has shit season D:

I not like him at all but for first we should do something with Oscar :/

Will we have hazard here next season? Even in the case we do, is pedro really necessary?

For me, the first change we need to make is our formation. Change it back to 4-3-3. Which means Hazard on the left and willian on the right. Pedro does not even come into contention when compared to these 2. We wont have any european competitions to play. Do we really want Pedro eating away kenedy's game time in domestic cups and the odd sub game here and there. Does he really add as much value. And in the case hazard leaves, is pedro good enough to be a starter on the wings with willian, HELL NO.

Pedro has not been a starter in Barca for the last 5 years Mate. Pedro was a Pep regular when he was considered to be the "next big thing", but he simply did not develop the way he was supposed to be. Infact, he has regressed massively. His USP is his movement, but even that is nullified by his atrocious finishing. What we need to do is build a new team, and building it around a 30 year old has been or even having a 30 year old has been, with an elephant's touch, and headless chicken running is not the ideal thing.

Well tbh with Kenedy I see his future at left back so he doesn't even come to my train of thought at AM, and Willian is a good one to mention because he was getting wrote off this time last year, the general consensus was we needed an upgrade at right mid (which ironically after his debut Pedro was seen as that man) but look at him now.

Also even if we do move to 4-3-3 by the sounds of it the main priority for Conte sounds like it will be defense and midfield, and I'd rather have Pedro on the bench as opposed to Cuadrado and Moses.

Also Pep left when Pedro was 25 which is a bit too old for next big thing, also was he even considered the next best thing? I was always under the impression he was widely thought of as a decent if unspectacular player who works within a system, something I also believes watching him especially for Barca.

I'm not saying build the team around him, of course not, but he brings something different to the table and could be a good asset for a season or two if he picks up abit of consistentcy, it's worth remembering Malouda was a lot worse in his first season here and look how he turned out in the double season.

Have to disagree. We have such a fractured defence. We dont know IF zouma will comeback and be as good as he was, because his game depended so much on his athleticism. Our only good defender seemingly has forgotten to play in his natural position, add a 19 year old winger who does not know how to defend, and we will continue to have such problems. Moreover, IF hazard stays, having kenedy and hazard on the same flank is like inviting trouble. Moreover we have baba/ake for that position. I would choose Ake over Kenedy, every day of every week.

Why not juan? I have seen him play for juventus and fiorentina and he has been much better than what pedro has been either for barca/chelsea. I know Juan was very poor for us, but i would not judge him on 300 minutes of football spread over 12 games. I have made these same arguments in Juan's thread, so dont think I should get repetitive.

Pedro started his career as the "next big thing". Or rather the next big thing like fans used to say for oscar. Infact, come to think of it, Pedro and oscar's careers, development has been very similar. And both have another similarity, they dont deserve to be playing for chelsea currently. If we had CL next season, I would have loved to have pedro around for his experience. But if we get EL somehow, it simply does not make any sense to have him sit on the bench. Rather play kenedy/musonda.

Mate, Malouda was a double edged sword. Fair enough that he was our best player in 09/10 (I think he was better than Didier that season), but he was poor a season before and poor for 2 seasons after. THIS is exactly the kind of scenarios we should be avoiding. How many times is the club going to be make the mistakes? As a club we seem to keep going around in circles. We have a golden oppurtunity with some real gems like RLC, ake, Solanke, Kenedy, Musonda, Baba, Traore, even maybe Boga. Players like pedro simply dont bring anything in the long run and we would be back to where we were at the start of the season after a couple of seasons. I for one would be willing to go a couple of seasons trophyless (like bayern did for getting in players like alaba, muller, kroos). I would love a squad as follows for next season:

Gk: Tibo, Begovic (HG), Blackman (HG)

Defenders: Hummels (New CB), Zouma, Miazga (U-21), JT (HG), Azpi, Iva, Baba, Ake (HG)

CMs: Naingollan, Vidal, Cesc (HG), Neves, RLC (HG), Baker (HG)

Wingers: Hazard, Willian, Musonda (U-21), Kenedy (U-21)

Strikers: Costa, Traore (U-21), maybe Pato?

I know its a youth heavy squad with the likes of ake, baba, kenedy, musonda, RLC, baker, traore as substitutes. But this can be our Class of 2016. These kids do have the potential.

Anyways, it just seems we want different things. I would be happy with a couple more years in exile if it meant an identity. Each to his own. Lets just hope the decisions taken help the club in getting success be it short or long term.

He was happy enough when the players were walking on air and making him look good, but he appeared a helpless passenger when 09/10 looked to be going nowhere before Christmas, and when 10/11 crumbled around us. Long before the end came he seemed to be waiting for the axe to fall. Me and him both.

These are what Carlo likes to refer to as "bad moment".

But I agree with Kennedy at LB being his most effective position with us. Having Ake back and Baba as well will mean Azpi will and must play only RB unless emergency situations.

Kennedy should be a utility player, he's young and he'll have time to develop to play further up the pitch. Him and Pedro do offer better width than Wilian or Oscar(who cut in too often when playing LM or RM).

Ivanovic should never be a fullback ever again at his age, he's a much better player at CB these days.

Our defense will hopefully be better next season, Cesar is getting upto speed again at RB and he will be fine, hopefully we will have a new experienced defender and Christensen back next year, which will give usa solid base for Kenedy to get some games there (he can compete with Ake, I am not convinced by Baba tbh).

Defends for Robert needs some work, but many players can learn the trade, most attacking full backs you see today have been moved back from further forward because they didn't cut the mustard, i mean look at Dani Alves, looking at his game purely going forward for a minute Pep tried him on the wing once or twice, he was average at best, but at right back he is a menace, in my opinion Kenedy lacks the level of technical ability needed to be a winger/attacking midfielder at least as a starter, if that's the direction we are going with him ill give it four seasons max before his inclusion in a lineup is widely groaned at like Oscar and Pedros are this present time.

Juan is good in Italy but the English game seems to really not suit him, I know it's harsh to judge an I will give him a chance if he returns but he's a player who needs a lot of time on the ball and the game in this country doesn't give that.

There's nothing wrong with signing a player for 2-3 years (it's actually a really long time, Willian has only been here 3  years it feels like forever), we fucked up with that team because we didn't catch the signs early, the squad peaked In 07/08 (still agonises me that squad won nothing, if any squad was good and deep enough for a quadruple it was that one), we should have started rebuilding the moment the whistle went in Moscow. But main point is just having a good Pedro for a season is ok if we have a plan when father time calls.

I think there are a couple more youth players than I would have in that squad you mentioned but overall it's quite decent balance only changes I would make is

If we have enough space extend Amelia's contract, Blackman would have us pining for Turnbull's return.

If possible Christensen back and Miazga on loan,Kenedy in defence and someone else covering Haz and Willy (be that Pedro or whoever).

Probably Kante over Baker or Neves, to utilise Cescs strengths and hide his weakness we need a lot of muscle around him, i don't usually advocate going to such extreme lengths to protect a player but the creativity and forward thinking he offers is just off the scale and we would defiantly miss that if he goes.

Pato I'm not too sure about, I would like Troy Deeney for reasons I've explained in the transfer thread.

I have never seen Amelia play so I honestly cant comment. But it seems a little too weird to give the 3rd GK spot to amelia as I dont think he would be that good and he is not Homegrown. Basically its a massive waste of a non-HG spot.

I would not want andreas here. He is performing brilliantly, and getting lots of game time. His development has been immense and in a scenario where he is on the bench for a whole season, would be a massive waste. I honestly dont know what conte would do. Will he stick to JT/GC as our 2nd/3rd CBs or actually give Zouma and andreas their oppurtunities. So just to not have another young player bite the dust while sitting at the bench, I would keep andreas where he is. If he is guaranteed atleast a 3rd CB role behind hummels (or Mr. X) and zouma (Zouma and andreas can fight for the 2nd CB spot) then I will be happy.

Fair enough. We need some massive upgrades in the middle of the park. Though getting radja, vidal and kante seems more fantasy than anything I can imagine.

I think its too early to judge Baba. He has had some brilliant performances like Kiev and PSG (and mind you thats the highest of the highest stage). But not just his good performances, but even in a season like this, his games have been far and few between and the one mistake he made (against Soton - LONG), cost him his place in the side for about a month or so. Imagine a 21 year old LB making a mistake. Unimaginable, right GUS? I mean seriously dropping a young defender like a sack of potatoes for one mistake. Anyways, gus' decisions is a discussion for a different day and time. My assessment of Baba, would be Potential. Not ready yet, and honestly not given much of a chance.Even in a season like this, where we are 10th after 30 games, he has had just 544 minutes of game time, which is what 6 games. 6 games despite us having nothing to play for since DEC/JAN. I mean the people at the highest levels should be ashamed of themselves for this mis-man-management. Right now, Ake should be way ahead in the LB starter role. But I feel Baba has a higher ceiling.

Currently, Yes, Kenedy is way off the level of a chelsea starter. But I think Most of the things he lacks, touches where he literally plays the ball 10 metres ahead of him and chases it, or positioning is something which can be improved. He looks like a guy who works his ass of in the training. A good attacking manager and we have a brilliant player on our hands. Also, I feel, Kenedy's USP is his killer shot. Shifting him to LB, takes away those oppurtunities.

As for Pedro, I would not blink an eye if he leaves and is replaced by moses/Juan/Musonda. Honestly, I feel they would be able to cover his role in the squad. But if he does stay, I would be livid if someone like musonda leaves us for arsenal (as was rumored) because of "lack off oppurtunities".

Pedro for me is the new Willian. Runs and runs and runs, puts a defensive shift in, drives the ball up from the counter attack quickly. The only difference being is that he puts his put through the ball every time he shoots, with varying results. Think he deserves a place in the squad though, certainly moreso than Oscar does.

Norwich level player. sell him. only capable of tap ins vs weak teams. has no attributes

Thats harsh. He is not a norwich level player, he is a chelsea level player - midtable, 10th position PL team.

His 2 good performances were against newcastle and villa, without a shred of doubt the 2 worst teams in the league.

He is exactly the type of player that defines the club currently: no quality, no identity, no fight, no love, and most of the time, no idea of what he/the club is doing.

IF we want to progress as a club, players like pedro, oscar, mikel, cahill should NOT be here under any circumstances.

In all honesty, pedro and oscar actually make me miss malouda and kalou.
