Radamel Falcao

I don't know there are so many butthurt people on here. If it doesn't work out, we don't sign him. This is a clever signing because if Mourinho pulls it off and he has a great season for us, we've found a perfect stop-gap signing. Then, if Monaco say they want to sell him for a certain amount of money, we're not forced to agree to signing him. Whether it works or not there is no obligation to pay the player, and it gives Bamford a year to establish himself in the PL before joining the first team in 12 months' time.

Even he he turns out bad, Mourinho will simply slap him in the bench and play Remy.

He can't be a new Torres when he has a 1y contract, isn't a blonde lady boy and knows that if he's not doing well his career as a top forward is over and he'll warm the bench.

If the pay-cut rumours are true (anyone know the amount of wages or an estimate..) then the deal could turn good as long as we keep Remy. Costa/Falcao/Remy is a lot better then Torres/Eto'o/Ba.

The good thing with Falcao is that he's a lethal striker. Sure he is reliant on his pace but any striker who has pace will obviously use it to his advantage.

What always impressed me with him is his finishing and the sense for movement, and you don't lose that after an injury or a bad season.

I expect him to do really well here and push both Remy and Costa to their max. Contrary to most members I would be surprised if Falcao DIDN'T do well here.

In my opinion the difference between Falcao and Torres is that one is losing his old legs and confidence, another one is losing his old legs only.

Torres has found his legs after some time in here but he never found his confidence back until now. Not because of the heavy pressure only, because while he is loaned to Milan he still struggle.

I feel Falcao still have that confidence and instinct, but he is yet found his legs back. I'm not surprised he couldn't make it in his first season after the surgery. Hopefully next season he will be back to his best with us.

His confidence would be the greatest factor IMO, lets hope it goes for the best.

Is this the least exciting 'big name' signing in our recent history? Can't remember the last time 95% of the people including myself have written off a player before he has kicked a ball for us.

2 years ago everyone here would accept even 60m for Falcao now we got him for a free but no one is excited anymore. Hope at least he gets a few goals like Drogba did before moving on next summer.

I just wanna hurry up and find out how José plans to use all three of our strikers.

How often will he use multiple strikers at once? Is Falcao or Remy second choice? Will Costa ever be rested even when fully fit and Facao played on his own?

Some great possibilities. Really hope Falcao does well. Seems like he's been humbled by last season and should be eager to prove doubters wrong.

As Long as Remy doesn't leave cause of this I'll be happy

Remys an after thought compared to the real worry.

If Falcao starts even one game (that isn't a CL group game or domestic cup match) when Costa is fit and available I'll hit the roof.

Be ready to hit the roof then. No way will José play Diego if we have a 3 matches in 8 days scenario.

If Falcao proves he is still a top striker, then Costa and him can both be in the squad. Like Milito and Eto'o at Mourinho's Inter.

It's more likely we'll see Remy and either Costa or Falcao in the starting XI than Costa and Falcao. There's no way Mourinho is going to start turning Costa and/or Falcao into a wide striker all of a sudden, not when we have Remy who play in that position.
