Leif 6,006
I think he's the most composed striker I've ever seen (I'm only 17 ok). In fact, no, I'm positive he is. I keep replaying his goal against Barcelona and I can't imagine any other striker being able to do what he did there:-

Leif 6,006
Ehhrm... Torres? Torres didn't have 3 Barcelona defenders chasing after him while playing in a significantly weaker team. Falcao did.

Pizy 18,927
Why do I get the feeling that Torres will be back next season?Judging by his quotes from today's presser it seems he really wants to continue stealing a living here for the remainder of his contract. Sheva. 5,373
He's like Benzema.. maybe even Inzaghi; He scores goals. It starts and ends at that. That works fantastically in the correct team. I have no idea whether we are that team or not.All we have to do is create decent chances for him every game (shouldn't be so hard with Mata, Hazard and Oscar behind him), in the air or on the ground and he will put the ball in the back of the net. Not to mention he's capable of scoring a few screamers, unlike other poachers like Gomez and Chicarito etc.
YouNameIt 1,511
I dont understand why people are so against Falcao.1) You compare him with Torres because his pricetag would be in that area and Torres failed bigtime. - It's not even a comparable situation. Torres was almost forced to join Chelsea, mostly due to the money we offered Liverpool. Plus Falcao is in a totally different mental and physical state than Torres was/is.2) You think he is too expensive. - Why do you even care about this? Its not your money and people just replying with "FFP": You honestly dont think there are people in Chelsea FC who know the situation 10 times better than you? Plus, you guys are seriousley overrestimating the effect of FFP.

Beepu 1,714
The thing about that goal against barcelona though is that he would very rarely get that much space to run into here, of course that goal was amazing, he was chased by 3 players and most people think that it was a half chance. But nowadays we play with so little space, i have not watch enough of him to say that he can/cant play with tight spaces so if anyone here watches him regularly for awhile please educate me about this topic. Tomo 21,751
Say we had Falcao this season, no the problems in the rest of our team would not have gone away, but they would have looked a lot less troubling, the same way a lot of issue's at United are covered up by RVP, the same way Drogba's form in 09/10 covered up some obvious sign's we were in decline. The CWC final for example, if it had been Falcao instead of Nando, Radamel would have finished for the first chance and positioned himself better (IE not been offside) for the 2nd, bobs your uncle a shite performance but two moments of utter class by a world class forward getting us the win. That would have also happened many times in the league with Falcao also. It's one thing to say we can get better for 46 million but to say Falcao will not add to the squad is just plain stupid. . Granted that we are a midfield-oriented team but a class striker up-front means that in some games where we're struggling to put away teams, he can nick the points for us.Lewandowski will be real value for money though.
