I was very wrong with this rumor (sorry for saying that Catalonia radio was unreliable, because it seems they are right), and now it seems that Arda Turan will play in Barcelona next season. Both "SPORT", "MUNDO DEPORTIVO"; "MARCA" and "AS" are agree in saying that the signing will be done in the next few hours.

I am frankly disappointed. I think Arda Turan was a good choice for us. In addition, we took a month in the market without doing anything, just sign a few players for Vitesse and nothing else. Only Falcao, which depends on Jose can do a miracle with Him. Even Oscar will continue with us ...

To me Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the only illusion in the news for the next season.

I want Azpilicueta at right-back, with Filipe as left-back, Zouma as indisputable as centre-back, bet heavily on Ruben Loftus-Cheek ...

Courtois

Zouma John Terry ©

Azpilicueta Filipe Luis

RCL Matic

Fabregas

Willian Hazard

Diego Costa

But right now I do not expect anything.

Regards.

There is no doubt Turan is a quality player. Nobody should be denying that. If Turan did come here what he would add is composure in the final third, a player who can hold possesion in tight spaces and dribble past defenders.

But we need another goal-scorer. We cannot sign another midfielder/winger that isn't lethal at finishing chances. Because while Costa and Remy are spectacular clinical finishers, they will be sidelined many times throughout the season. If i was more confident of Costa and Remy's health i would be 100% behind this, but if both get injured at the same time again next season, we really only have Hazard and Oscar to a degree as viable goal threats.

Arda Turan already announced his intention of leaving #Atletico this summer and chose Barca's offer above #CFC and #MUFC (Diario Sport) #FCB

Like Aleix Vidal, Arda will be unable to play for #FCB in competitive action until the club's FIFA transfer ban has run its course (Marca)

Good enough for the best team on the planet to spend €35m on but Gilvorak thinks he's a serious downgrade on Oscar.

dont take gilvorak's comments to heart man!!! he once called oscar a "GOAT". he is a very intelligent troll!!!

In response to Diario Sport & Mundo Deportivo news, in last hour, Ahmet Burut, Turan's agent told EFE: "There is no contact with Barcelona"

Former #FCB President Bartomeu using Catalan media as his electoral weapon ...

Arda Turan uploaded a video to social networks in which he said farewell to #Atlético de Madrid after winning 5 titles in 4 seasons. (Marca)

Apparently, his agent said AGAIN that there wasnt any contact with Barcelona.

Some twitter accounts "in the know" saying Atletico agreed a fee with Barcelona, but thats it, no talk between the player and Barcelona. And Turan wants Chelsea.

Interesting, but lets just wait and see... too much bulshit in this saga.

Fantastic logic. The best team in the League spent £30m on Cuadrado. Why aren't the other English clubs in for him?

And who gives a damn what Barca spend on him he wouldn't start for them anyway. Who's he getting ahead of? Even fringe players like Pedro are comfortably better.

Lets say he signs for Barcelona where will he actually play? The front 3 is one of the best in history as it stands so doubt anything will change unless one of them encounter an injury hit season or Suarez wants blood again. Maybe he will replace Xavi? But then again Biscuit, Rakitic and Iniesta are 3 definite starters as long as they are fit, unless they plan to replace Iniesta by Turan gradually since he is not a CDM and cannot replace Biscuit.

Rakitic just had a fantastic season so no way they are looking to replace him. I think this sigining is really weird for them. Rotation only works if you sign the likes of Vidal, Adriano, Song...etc players who will be back up for the main players, but this guy is good enough to be starting and I doubt he would want to bench warm for them.
