Chelsea 4-0 Liverpool

Iva Cahill Terry Dave

Fabregas Matic

Willian Oscar Hazard

that or we lose 2-1 and this forum goes into meltdown.

There is no way that both Ivan and Azpi should be getting in the team ahead of Luis; he's outperformed them both since the turn of the year, and is one of the few squad players we have who is playing up to standard at the moment. I'd argue against Cahill starting as well; by most accounts he was outdone by Zouma today, and he has looked very shaky for a good while now (as most will acknowledge).

Other than that though, this is the team that should start against Liverpool. We can't afford a poor result ahead of the City game, even if it means giving the probable starters less rest than would be ideal. If the negative results start to pile up, the fatigue felt by the players will be mental rather than physical, and will probably be more difficult to shake off.

Could there possibly be a better game to bounce back from today's disappointment?! Liverpool at the Bridge in a semi-final, bring it on.

I'm bothered about the League Cup because we've got this far - why not win it? With the FA Cup there were weeks left; weeks where, if we'd have gone through, City could be racking up the points while we have to play catch up. The League Cup won't offer too many more distractions.

I don't comment on here regularly, but from the sounds of it we don't have no heart, no fire. Not like the old days. when I was around 10-11 and could actually start watching football properly and understand it, I saw a Chelsea full of fight. Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Gallas, Makelele, Lampard, Duff, Drogba it was full of it! balls as big as the sun and had no problem looking absolutely anyone in the eye and saying come on then.

We need that in this time. I see matic, cesc and costa have it. willian? spineless. Oscar has it. I remember at the bridge last year against lucas diving in. I want to see his heart on his sleece more. Hazard? needs to show more heart, more fire. Cahill has none. Zouma, from what I heard today, has it in abundance and he'll make it here for that very reason.

Tuesday is the time for the players who want to be apart of the next Chelsea generation to stand up and stake their claim, for the rest stay seated. you'll be weeded out soon enough.
