Siwy_CFC 7
We are the most score effective team in england and ManUnited just concende 5 goals against Leicester while we concende just 8 goals so far this season. In second hand theyre offence isnt so strong as they are on the paper, van Persie isnt the same man who have won golden boot, he isnt even the same player who score some for Nederlands in World Cup, Falcao is still after injury, Di Maria is only person who we should scare, but if Special One prepare players to keep him off the game we should win if no doubts. Jdb2005 12
We should be treating this game as if there still the Man U of old. We need to keep to our game as there decent going forward . Really hope Costa makes he will run that rojo ragged .
meetdoscar 335
-----Courtois--------Iva-cahill-terry-luis----Ramires-Matic-----------Fabregas------Oscar---------------hazard----------costa-----------This is our strongest line-up. With this man utd have no chance at all. I hope to see this soon again I remember we used it against swansea(2nd half) and we absolutely killed them bar luis though. Term-X 7,891
I'd be a lot more confident if Costa was fit, if Drogba starts we need a standout individual performance from Hazard.

Milan 17,957
What would really help on Sunday is also West Ham tomorrow. They are quite on form and they host Man City so here's hoping Hammers can do some damage.

There are loads of reasons for everyone's confidence to be up for this, its Man Utd!! We all want to win it and positive energy is always better than negative energy! Am (cautiously) confident about this game. Was just saying with people expecting so much, it's gonna hit hard if we get a disappointing result. That's all. Was just saying with people expecting so much, it's gonna hit hard if we get a disappointing result. That's all.If we lose, we lose... This is the first season ever that I feel like every game we play we should win, its taken some getting used to but we're that good this year. Expectations are high mainly because the quality of the football has been exceptional so early into the campaign, we have good momentum. Nothing is set in stone, if it were we wouldn't have to play the games. I will only be disappointed if we lose not resembling the side we've been this year, if we show up to Old Trafford and don't show the same desire to get a result as we have in every game this season that will be a letdown. After that I just enjoy this team too much to let a setback get me down.

Am sure you can see some of the latter in this thread's posts.
MrBlueGuy 1,552
But there's a difference between having expectations and being confident AND having ridiculous expectations and being overconfident. Am sure you can see some of the latter in this thread's posts.Isn't it about time we are overconfident in a big game away from home under Jose though...this is the real 1st opportunity for Jose to show the world that he has evolved over the years and not just having this 'philosophy' of bus parking and trying not to lose a big away game at any cost. You could say City away was the 1 but we didn't lose so some people were still calm. However if we go in with the conservative approach no one will be surprised, it shows that from now on you can just expect a draw at best in most big away games. So imo this is Jose's final chance to show that he can play good football in big games away from home, something he has been criticized for over the year and pretty much his only flaw for me. Maybe we will go for it and lose 2-1 thanks to a Di Maria MOTM performance, that is fine as long as we lost fair and square and they are the better team on the day. What do we expect? just routine 1 point and a draw as success? you could argue that is minimum requirement and not expectation considering the contrast between 2 squads.
