I think he may go this coming week (as it is last week of the window)  and we will bring in pato or teixeira.

 

He needs to play regularly to find his best form, wont ever play regularly here unless Costa gets a bad knock keeping him out for a long period.  So as a result most, if not all, sub appearances will be poor as there is no run of form to be had.

The guy deserves to be starting for a club. He obviously has the talent, as has been seen at QPR and Tottenham. As I said earlier (as have others) he doesn't particularly want to be at the club, or so his body language suggests. The club and he are wasting time, let him go.

I agree with this.  I could definitely see him at Palace, Villa or Newcastle by next Monday - and Pato the other way.

I think people are overreacting a little bit here. He obviously should have done better with the two chances, much better, but both balls were behind him a little bit. He should have done better, but they weren't as easy as people are making it sound.

I thought he held the ball up excellently on 3 occasions that really helped release a lot of pressure on us.

I normally defend him and see a lot of good things, but he's become difficult to defend lately. Always get injured when Costa is out, there's only so much we can say it's bad luck.

He had one of the most horrendous matches by one of our players this season and the stakes are pretty high for that. Maybe his heart just isn't here anymore... he did spent too much time in the bench when he should have had more chances.

Cannot let this happen in any regard. Will be stupid of us. I get he needs game time but we don't really have adequate replacements to Costa. When Remy is fully fit he is good cover. If Pato comes, we need him along with Costa and Remy, not instead of Remy.

But tbh, I don't really sympathise with Remy regarding lack of first team action. He wanted to stay and he said he wanted to fight for his place but realistically he knew he was always going to be back up to Costa. I like Remy a lot but my personal opinion is the reason he did not want to move to a club in the summer is because he is on around £85k p/w and if he left to Palace in summer or another club he would have had to take a huge wage cut and he has been known to go to teams where they offer him huge money and that is why he is not interested in leaving us permanently for now because even for a back up, his wages are huge

If we are not contemplating selling him this window, then loaning him out should not even be an option. As the season goes, we may need him a lot more than people think and while Costa has generally been fine on the injury front this season, you do get the suspicion he may be suspectible to injuries. Especially in recent weeks, he has been coming off because of minor knocks.

Im not too big a fan but it is a bit harsh nailing him on a 20 minute appearance.

However the critiscsm he has received since yesterday I've basically said since day one, he's a decent squad option but I laughed when so many thought he could compete with Costa, he is light years behind Diego.
