And as i said, i probably don't think it is possible to keep all three happy but that will always be a problem. What kind of decent striker will be happy to sit on the bench all the time, it's almost an impossible situation. And if someone like a Benteke would join, I can easily see us losing Remy after the following season but that's just how it goes.

Since when can't a backup, in probably the most important position, cost any money?? In what other area's are we gonna splunk money away such that we can't afford it? What alternative with that profile are you suggesting for 10 million? Benteke is still young so even if it doesn't work out, he has great resell value and you never run the risk of losing a lot of money.

For example:

Say you buy Lambert for 4 million, no resale value so you end up losing 4 million when he retires.

Say you buy Benteke for 25 million, he stays for 2 seasons and he wants out, you can easily resell a 26 year Benteke for 21 million and end up losing about the same amount of money.

Don't think it's impossible, Jose always likes to have 3 quality strikers. He said something like this:

"When you play a system with 1 striker, I need 3 in my squad. Because when 1 is injured I need at least 1 other on the bench. When you play a system with 2 strikers, 3 is okay but 4 is ideal."

Yeah Adebayor was his DD of this season, but younger.

Playing other position? That's exactly the case, Remy plays LW and RW too.

So we will basically have:

Strikers: Costa, Benteke,*Remy

Wingers: Cuadrado, Eden, Willian, *Remy, Ramires*, Oscar*

*=alternative position

Our squad is small, we can even add another AM/winger. Attacking wise, I prefer Remy above Oscar and Ramires as winger, and currently also above Cuadrado.

If the hamstring thing with Costa continous, we should really look at a solid striker.

Remy has scored 9 goals in all competitions this season, 7 of them coming in the Premier League and a few important goals in there too (City, Stoke, Hull etc). A pretty good return considering he doesn't play very often.

Remy has to stay. He was so unlucky with injury this season; every time Costa was injured / suspended Remy was injured too.
