Honestly, now that I've seen a couple matches from him wearing our blue, I can safely say he's better going forward than I previously thought from watching him on Brazil NT. Great player all around.

Well, don't think there was anything wrong with him suggesting that. He's a good and solid defender but still a newbie to the Premier League and playing with the other defenders in the back line.

I found it funny because he's always singing Ivanovic's praises (although he did criticise him during the match for having his hands behind his back and just backing off Januzaj) and he made it out like Di Maria would have a lot more success against Luis, the weak link, when I think the reverse is actually true.

I love Brana. I love his directness in attacks. The pace and defensive abilities we are going to possess coming into both flanks is something ideal. I think last week Brane was really suffering from the fact that Di Maria was outrunning him in the second half, hence why he got sent off. I'm not against him, I only think that him getting into the game when we are relying on set pieces and shots will be more ideal.

With Luis on the LB spot, we really have balance in our attacks down the flanks. Before it was all Branna on the right and there was little impetus from Azpi to go forward. With both our full-backs taking turns in attack, it'll always make things difficult for teams that go with a low block system. Interesting to see how he fares against the bigger clubs, starting with L'pool.
