I recall plenty of times where he mentioned he loves the club and the fans but it's location or weather(?) that's the problem. I'll try to dig up for articles when I'm on my PC...

Well guys if Costa realy wanted to extend in january, but Chelsea eventualy decided to cancel that, how will you defend the claims that Costa was a prick who wanted to leave? 

If what he say is true, then its our fuckup. But yeah Costa should take it as professional instead going about like child. 

However it seems the only wrong thing Costa did is going in public about whole thing. 

As goes for your hate towards him that he wanted to move to China in january, or atletico this summer, or that he didnt give a shit after january, judging by his performances, because apparently didnt care anymore, well that might just be in your heads planted by the media. 

You want him out, fine. But stop with that hate towards him, because unless you know Conte or Costa, you, like me knows jack shit what was realy happening and hating on someone without proper evidence is just pointless.

It's a shame how it's all ended, he was a cracking player for us. It's also clear that his stinky performances post-January were more of a psychological issue when he knew he wasn't wanted here anymore. Eva-gate 2.0.

Spot on. This has an Eva-feel to it, unfortunately. Always something isn't it.

Thing is, I wanted a manager that took no player power so in Jan when this China thing came up I was glad to see the club back Conte and have his decision as final. Costa's interview comes across as a bit sob story'ish and as usual we never know the actual truth or details we just speculate.

Just take the money from Atletico, something is better than nothing and having this circus. Costa did a good job for us, went missing a few times but most players do during a season at one time or another.

This interview was probably a move to lower his price and force Chelsea's hand. Unlikely to be a coincidence that it happened during the season's 1st game either.

We should just ask Atletico for one of their spare midfielders as part of the Costa deal.

It's a sad state of affairs and whilst Costa is far from blameless, it seems the club continuously fails to learn from previous mistakes when people have left the club in controversial circumstances.

The most frustrating part is IF Costa is genuine when he says he would be happy to stay and commit to the club, we would have a potentially lethal strike force of Costa and Morata with Bats as backup and our attacking options would suddenly look far stronger. However I do admire Conte that he is sticking to his decisions, you cannot be seen as weak as a football manager. 

The trump card I guess we still hold is Costa's ambition to play for Spain in the World Cup. If we refuse to sell, and he is left not playing all season he simply won't be playing in the World Cup that's for certain.

Costa is acting like a spoiled kid, he not acting like a professional, not like Nemanja Matic, he wanted to go to MU but still train like usual at Chelsea till his move. ;Costa heart is not at Chelsea and his action is like hitting back at Chelsea. That's a great comparison with Matic, the club would have probably settled for less money if it meant putting an end to this childish saga, had he been more professional about the situation as a whole.
