Eventually he matured. Here hoping the same with Costa. Drogs was very problematic at first. Many stories of him wanting out, then wanting to follow Jose, stalling with contracts and whatnot. And he did admit that he didn't like it here at first and wanted to leave, but stayed... the rest is history. Don't give up on Costa just yet. Its great to see all the lads smiling and having a craic in training. Heres Diego scoring his best ever goal And his crossbar challenge after Leicester game. Magic Lamps 11,692
Horrible pen. I dunno why players keep shooting them low. Once that ball hits 1,70m height the goalie has less than 10% chance of stopping it. I remember how La PS used to bit vital pens straight down the middl with such force not even Manuel neuer could save them even though he knew what was coming
volfan89 97
I don't see why more players don't just put their damn foot through the ball. Put it on frame with some pace and there'll be no stopping it
LAM09 7,056
Why didn't he take the pen like this - ?
manpe 10,861
Even if we take out his penalty failure, he still had a horrible game imo. Nothing came out. Was worse than Hazard, dunno why people concentrate only on him when he has a subpar game. Supermonkey92, BoyBlue96 and Styles

The penalty summed up his whole game: approached very poorly.

He is one of the worst strikers around when it comes to link play and holding the ball up. Imagine Hazard playing with somebody he can play one twos with and run beyond, safe in the knowledge that he may get the ball back a few times? Honestly felt sorry for Hazard last night. Styles 9,790
Also, why the hell is he taking penalties? I can think of maybe a handful of times Costa has hit the ball cleanly in his entire Chelsea career. This guy is the king of scuffed shots. Look at the pen last night, no aim or power - he is focused solely on just trying to hit the ball.

He was way and way too fast taking it and shot too low.

Because leaving January would have been not ideal. Let's get that money and buy Morata and if we can Aubameyang.
Chelsea4 1,521
Diego Costa has agreed to move to China in the summer. Chelsea will get a fee around €85m. (Cadena Ser) That's it then,Cadena Ser is on the same level as DiMarzio.

Jase 43,479
Is it just me or he hasn't been quite the same since the CSL interest fiasco? We may have won today but he was absolutely selfish! Could have played in Pedro in the first half to go 2-0 up and then later tried to score from a tight angle when there were like 3-4 players free in the box to make it 4-0. This all from the same guy who went all crazy on Pedro for not making that attacking run at Spurs last month. blueblood22, Mufassir08 and Blue-in-me-Veins

The difference is 2 months ago, his selfishness worked for him, but now it's becoming more pronounced. Would have been 4-0 if he just passed, then Giroud goes down the other end and pulls one back for them.
