Thank the heavens. I would have lost all hope for this club if they offloaded the guy who solved our striker crisis. He's world class and the fact he still got 17 goals despite the fact the team struggled to create a goal scoring chance from open play in the first half of the season is impressive itself. Not to mention so many of those goals earned us wins/draws.

Conte took over a weak juve team which had been struggling with back to back 7th place finishes and transformed them into dominating champions in serie a. If the players put their heads down and embrace all that conte has to offer, there is no reason it can't happen with us too. Not saying we'll win the league but I honestly expect us to be up there and battling it out with the manchester clubs

Yeah i don't get it either. I mean going after Lukaku when it seemed like we were going to sell Costa atleast made some sense as we'd be trying to replace him with another goalscorer.

But now that Costa's staying we already have Costa, Batshuayi and Hazard for the 2 striker positions with the likes of Remy and Traoré as cover.

That's more then enough so why the desperation to sign Lukaku ?

We got a great chance of winning domestic silverware without European distractions. You get more than twice as much money for winning EPL than for winning the CL anyway. We don't any chance of winning the PL this season with the current squad, you are fooling yourself if you think a team with Azpi, Terry, Cahill and Ivanovic at the back 4 can even finish in the top 4 this season. With the current team a realistic finish is between 6th and 7th.

Conte took over a "weak Juve" in a weak Serie A. We are talking about a Premier League here. The current situation is really bad, and we need at least 2 seasons to even think about "battling it out" with Manchester clubs.

Hazard is only 1 player. He cant be at every side of the pitch. This team is not good enough for a top 4 finish. Period. At least 3 more players are needed. Real players, not those ones who would be sent on loan.
