Glad we're signing a replacement, if reports are to be believed, I wonder what Barella expects considering Cesc didn't have a ton of playtime, though I guess RLC is out for a month or so.

Sad to see him go, I absolutely did not expect so much of him when we signed him although at the time we were crying out for someone like him, proved me wrong completely pretty much from the start. Wish him the very best and another reason to watch Monaco.

FABREGAS' MONACO MOVE BLOCKED

Cesc Fabregas has agreed a three-year deal to join Monaco this summer when his Chelsea contract runs out, according to Sky sources.

Fabregas wants to move to Monaco now and Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri said on Monday he should leave Stamford Bridge.

But Sky Sports News understands Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is blocking the deal. She has said Fabregas can go as soon as a replacement has been found.

Chelsea are close to deals for Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella and Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes and expect one of them to be completed this week.

I knew Monaco were struggling this season but I haven't payed any attention at all to Ligue 1. Since Cesc is on his way there I just had a look at the table and was expecting to see them just outside of the CL places or somewhere in the middle.

They suffered a major injury crisis - and I mean MAJOR injury crisis - and sold quality players in the summer as well as having made questionable signings to place those that they sold.

I dont think Barella is Cesc replacement. He doesnt suit that disciplined DM role Sarri demands. If anyone its going to be Paredes.

Mate, I don't live in Europe! Ligue 1 gets absolutely zero play here in the States. Only time I see French teams is in the CL.
