When's the "Football According to Barbara" book coming out?

The book may never come, but my hot seat thread I guess starts this week :P

I asked Spike and he told me I was 5th in the list

Koke would be brilliant.

Would be awfully depressing and a huge anticlimax if after being linked with all of these world class midfielders we end up signing Tiago on a free. Replacing one old player with one just about as old.

I think to much is made of this 'hate' Mou and Cesc have for eachother, remember Eto'o?

That was years ago though, Fab just said Mou talked too much when Mou said ahead of Barca vs City game months ago that this Barca was the worst in a long time.

just got a thought, what if matic gets injured for december-jan (the busiest of the months probably).

a pivot of fabregas-rambo? fabregas-mvg? rambo-mvg?

if we buy cesc, our system will solely be reliant on matic's fitness and form cos fabregas-rambo pivot looks worse than lamps-rambo and we all know how that turned out.

This will probably be where Tiago comes in, as he's fairly astute defensively. Also you mention the Rami-Lamps pivot, that wasn't actually that bad, if the Rami-Cesc pivot is on the same level then that won't be too bad a 'squad pivot combo' anyway.

The amount of rumours linking him to every PL club and now us does seem like Fabregas' agent is making stories up to increase interest in him. Obviously Fabregas and Mata are different but some of the issues Mourinho had with Mata can be atrributed to Fabregas, Koke seems much more suited to Mourinho's system if we're going for a Spanish midfielder. Koke and Pogba are both better options for deeper roles in midfield I think and younger, Fabregas more talented in an attacking midfield role.

I dont see the club signing him if Mourinho doesn't want him as has happened in the past

Nothing winning games and massaging each others ego's won't sort out, Mou and Fergie started off badly, less than a year later they were playing 'who can give the other the best compliment'.
