MrBlueGuy 1,552
Tongue in cheek I know the weather means little but the prestige of CL football alone is huge, massive in fact. Us, Liverpool, City and maybe even Arsenal will kick on now, I'm not sure exactly what path or direction United will take from this point. They are capable of doing a Liverpool this season themselves though. LVG is a top manager, while he is a bit crazy he is a very good tactician. He is also known for his attractive and attacking football as well at previous clubs, I wouldn't rule them out with him instead of Moyes as manager now. Also no CL+Europa league football, will benefit hugely like Liverpool this season. I think they will be back in CL next season ahead of Arsenal/Liverpool-probably Arsenal. Well unless Arsenal start to sign players of Ozil quality more often.

Look around at their team and see what players they have, they have a fucking huge job this window alone. Problem is for United is that everyone around them will kick on, that includes Everton. yuvala

They were magnified by the incompetence of Moyes imo. How can Fergie get that team to walk the league 1 season and the next they play badly? Unless their players have been magically aged by 5 years each. Naaa I don't think everyone will kick on, sometime a promising season doesn't lead to a better one. Everton for example now won't have Lukaku, Delofeu and maybe even Barry. Spurs got a new manager who might need time to settle, and who knows he might even do a AVB again. Arsenal will always be the same unless they change their mentality/approach and transfer strategy, which they so far show no intention of doing. The likes of Southampton, Newcastle are non-starters because they will most likely sell their best players.Like you said, the only 3 teams that I think will really kick on are imo us, City and Liverpool thanks to their potential signings and Rodgers who is a very good manager. Yes MU need some new top signings like Fabregas but even without them their squad is good enough for 3rd/4th. We shouldn't forget how good the likes of Mata, Rooney, RVP(if fits) are, not to mention Kagawa, Adnan...etc who are capable of playing much better than last season. LDN Blue 7,903
What is the chance of Arsenal 'stealing' him at the last minute??There's this theory going around by an Arsenal fans actually which is relevant to your question, But then there's this..http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10885520/Arsenal-could-miss-out-on-Cesc-Fabregas-payment-in-Chelsea-transfer-deal-with-Barcelona.htmlFabregas signed for Barcelona in a complicated deal in 2011 through which the Spanish club paid Arsenal an initial £25.4 million, with the player contributing to the Gunners £880,000 each year of his contract. A further clause that Arsenal would receive £4.4 million if Barcelona win two La Liga titles and one Champions League title over the first five years of Fabregas’s return has not been triggered. After three seasons back at the Nou Camp, the overall cost of the Fabregas deal so far stands at just over £28 million. Barcelona have put a £30 million asking price on Fabregas, but Chelsea ideally want to pay £27 million, which would see Arsenal miss out on receiving any kickbacks. LondonPride1905 236
Ask yourself, how much of an attractive offer do we look over United. Think about it.Honestly, lots of stars don't feel they need CL football. Despite it being an attractive option, if Fabre decides he'll be off to Man. That being said, if he goes, I won't care, I want people that want to play for Chelsea.
Jype 6,398
Honestly, lots of stars don't feel they need CL football. I got a feeling Fabregas wants to play in the CL because that, along with the Premier League, remain the only meaningful competitions he is yet to win in his career. petre.ispirescu 4,928
Look at those fucking bellends at Arsenal forum. How can you be so deluded to think Barcelona have inserted a fucking clause that would see Arsenal get 50% of the money a team will pay for Fabregas.I mean, what team in this Solar System would insert such a clause in a contract? I tell you - no team is and will never be that stupid to do such thing for Christ's sake. The actual clause in that contract is that Arsenal will get 50% OF EVERY PENNY OVER £28m that Fabregas gets sold for. It's 50% from the profit Barcelona will make, not 50% of the entire amount. So, if Fabregas gets sold for £30m, Arsenal will get £1m. If he goes for £40m, Arsenal gets £6m. And so on.Now if Fabregas goes for £27.9m, there's no profit for Barcelona so there's no money for Arsenal Now fuck off Arsene and concentrate on your bigger fish (Remy, Khedira, Balotelli, Schneiderlin haha) Muzchap and cadenza666

Popular Post! bababoom 4,478 Posted June 9, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted June 9, 2014 I'd personally be a bit disappointed if we miss out on Cesc, he's such a quality player and for £26 million we are getting a heck of a deal... i guess we can spend £50 million on Koke but Atleico Madrid say they don't want to sell. He's a cunt but imo we've been crying out for someone like him in our Midfield for years and it's very hard these days to find someone who can control games from deep.
