bushman 2,043
The problem they have right now is the possibility of missing out on CL football, that will be a huge blow if that happened. The big players will be attracting the interest of the big teams also, the big money payers, the trophy winners, the trophy challengers, the big name managers....I mean christ on a bike even Liverpool look more attractive than United now.Look up problem in the dictionary and I am sure there will be a picture of Old Trafford next to it.I did look it up & the clueless one was there. lol. I believe, you are right. Still, some players will come aboard. I just do not see them as Liverpool being out of it for so long.As far as I am concern, I always despised manures, their fans, the club, I even hate the color of their jerseys. Amblève. 4,995
It's not the money but were it's invested into. Whilst they have people like Moyes in charge there will be problems and people like the Glazer's who have no clue about what they are doing there will always be a rocking ship. United are rotten from top to bottom and this means a few 100M over summer and all will be fine, it won't be, period. The Ferguson factor was the biggest thing at that club, it's gone, and with it the whole outlook on football.United have been living in their own world for years in terms of organising and managing a club. With Ferguson gone it's like somebody popped the bubble that was protecting them. They've entered modern-day's world of football and they're lost like a fish out of water now. Steve 10,227
Well leaving the club as one the most valuable clubs in the world is building for the future for me. Transition periods can always be ugly, look at what happen to us?And we had an owner willing to spend more....ie 50 million on Torres. Also having a piss poor manager does not help, but United are still a strong brand worldwide that racks in big figures. They should be up and running in two or three seasons. But if Moyes continues at the helm, it will seriously handicap them. Go look at the players that were left at his desposel last season and tell me Ferguson built for the future.... United won the League last season because the other teams around them were simply not good enough. Last season was one of the worst I have watched. The only place to be 11,313
Well leaving the club as one the most valuable clubs in the world is building for the future for me. United aren't building for the future, nor are they in a transition period. They don't have an identifiable footballing identity (80 crosses one week, trying to play through the middle with Mata and Kagawa the next), they don't have a cohesive transfer policy and they're even falling behind in the youth development side.Do you know what else used to be valuable? Myspace. But that bubble burst too.

United's value is no guarantee of anything if they're going to spend £27 million on the likes of Fellaini.

Mark spending a shit load on worthless talent. Or like Kenny at Liverpool. A good management also makes some differences if you give him all the power. Fulham Broadway 17,314
Mmm..... amidst rumours that Man Utd are going to be bought out by Beckham, the class of'92 and the Qatari "royal" family, the share price has shot up.Probably bollocks- seeing as Beckhams just bought an MLS franchise, but you never know. You heard it here first kids... didierforever 7,349
Damn these guys need an overhaul. Evra, vidic, rio, giggs all gone. Need a left back or 2. Need a center back. Need a DM as carrick has been abysmal. Need a CM to play alongside carrick as fellain, anderson and cleverly are shit. Need at least 1/2 wingers. Plus Need to revamp their tactics as mata on the wings is a joke. They will take some years to challenge for the titke even if u give moyes the benefit of doubt and expect hin to have a decent season next year. Atleast a season where we don't have to see cleverly on the wing against city. That was just LOL.

Brilliant stuff. "Beckham, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Gary Neville, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt are said to be in detailed talks to become the frontmen of a multi-billion consortium hoping to buy a 90 per cent stake in the club from Americans Joel and Avram Glazer, who purchased Manchester United in 2005." Shane 2,275
David Moyes is ruining Man United and I am loving it.He offers nothing. His team play dire football to a dire standard and constantly get played off the park at home and away. Liverpool passed it around them a few weeks ago. It was a training session for them. City dismantled them 3-0 without having to get out of second gear, as did we when we beat them 3-1.People say that they will attract top players, Who in the right mind would want to go there? With the rise of Us and City, along with Liverpool and Arsenal they might not get into the Champions League for a long time. If Everton sneak it, they could get the fiances to really put down a marker for years to come.United have money to spend? We'll they've already spent £27.5m on Fellani, and another £37.5m on Mata, how much is left? Would you trust Moyes with money?Don't think they'll be dining at Europe's top table any time soon to be honest, Think Liverpool could be here for the long haul. Eligius 121
According to the guardian, they have 2 deals already in place this summer...Maybe Coentrao, coleman, baines, or osman....Hopefully, its not Gundogan, Kroos, shaqiri or Reus. Can't see it being any Everton players as they're currently fighting for 4th spot, it wouldn't make any sense. The logical ones would be Carvalho and Kroos. AndersonBLUE 819
They are flying a plane over with 'Moyes out' on it at the Villa game. Not even we went that far with Rafa. Can't they sing? Or can they only communicate via banners?

Mr_President 404
To be fair, the banner isn't particularly popular with most Utd fans. The idea was started and paid for by a small group from 'Red Issue', I believe. They didn't just decide 'let's fly a banner because we've had enough of Moyes', but - if the story is to be believed - a small group of hard-core Utd fans have reacted badly to Streford End Flags' refusal to remove that gift that never stops giving 'The Chosen One' banner. This is their genius plan to show Moyes (and, ultimately the Utd board) that Moyes does not have 100% of the backing of Utd fans, despite what the media report (and the media report this because the fans in the stadium refuse to boo Moyes or show any visible signs of protest).Either way it's hilarious, I just hope they don't sack him yet..
