Except they don't have Ferguson anymore. Even if Ferguson acts as director of football and chooses the players HE thinks the team needs, there's no guarantee the new manager will know how to work with them.

Exactly my point. Moyes will build his own team. Give him time and I promise he'll come good at win many titles with the club.

Fergie will be walking down the stairs to take back his seat when they get turned over by Arsenal on Wednesday.

I too anticipate the fans begging ferguson to come back. He might not agree due to pity for moyes, but I won't be shocked to see it happen if this poor run continues for 3-4weeks

Permanent? No. Any team that spends money will eventually do well.

Tottenham spent 100 million last summer. Do you see them challenging for the title anytime soon?

United spent 64 million on Fellaini and Mata and it didn't solve anything. They will have to give Moyes 30 million in compensation if they do decide to sack him. That's 94 million gone to the trash with a bunch of owners that HATE to spend money. How long will it be until the Glazers become more and more conservative about their investment?

Perhaps United is not doomed just yet, but next year will be absolutely crucial. One mistake by the board could have massive consequences.

I personally wish they hit the bottom face down. I know they would be having the biggest laugh at us if it was the other way around.

They're too big a club for this to be permanent so i'll just say enjoy this while it lasts. It could be Liverpool 1991 or it could be Chelsea 2012 (League wise) but there's no guarantee so just live for the moment.

It won't be permanent, but it'll be for quite a while.

The state of deterioration in their team is off the charts. Though our team was stagnant in the 10/11 and 11/12 seasons, we still had some quality players (Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Cech etc.). They on the other hand need their entire defence and centre-midfield to be gutted. They would even need a squad player or two up front when the likes of Nani moves on.

We also had the massive windfall of the CL victory and subsequent CL qualification to aid our rebuilding process - United don't have that. They also have an incompetent idiot for a manager. As long as Moyes is there, it'll take even longer for them to get back anywhere near where they once were. I can only imagine the outcome if he is actually allowed to rebuild that club...absolute catastrophe, and I fucking hope they let him do it!

Moyes doesn't have the winning mentality. He might build a good side but he doesn't look capable of winning the EPL or UCL title

Moyes lacks the killer instinct...something which separates the best from the rest.

Permanent? United is a massive club and won't throw in the towel so easily. This season will be remembered as a crazy one for Yanited fans. Painfully frustrating for everyone I bet, the whole fiasco is turning Moyes' skin and hair more grey by the minute. Moyes has made a few suspect decisions but for the most part I blame the players and I think everyone sees it and there might be a lot of changes in the summer, a lot. Moyes has actually had a better start than any united manager ever... Better start than SAF. I think the players don't feel they owe him anything because you Januzaj working hard (who dos feel indebted to Moyes for so much game time) but I can't say the same for the rest of the team. Most of his bad decisions have been where he plays Welbeck, Mata and playing some players far too much. Next season will obviously be better for him, he'll have his own team and we should dismiss him at our own peril.

why would anyone want to play for the MOST HATED Club in English Club FootBall Soccer History & I hope that they lose about 6 games in their last 13 games of the season & draw 4 games & win 3 games.

that would be 13 points from 39 points from their last 13 games left. that means they will probably drop from 7th to about 9th,10th,11th place. depending on other results above or below them.

United aren't too big to go down the shitter. There's also absolutely no guarantee Moyes would work if given time, look at AC Milan, gave Allegiri a chance to build a team and look what happened.

Milan are massive club and they have gone down, United aren't too big to do the same especially with Gollum at the helm.

Spurs didn't spend 100M, They spent maybe 10M. You can't ignore the sale of Bale. And anyway, yes Spurs spend fairly large in comparison to other teams which is why they are battling for a place in Europe. The link between clubs that spend big and clubs that win is absolute. People like to think it's managers or effort that wins in football, but money is easily easily the most important element in success. United have a huge fan base and lots of money coming in so can spend big. As long as they can, they will be able to compete.
