Captain Ahmed 528
Matic's Olympics Quote  Nemanja Matic is the next player to answer questions about the Olympics as the Games draw near, including which of his team-mates would do best in certain disciplines...  What are your earliest Olympic memories? I was very young, and I really enjoyed watching not only sports with a ball but also athletics. When Olympics starts on the television you can watch all the sports all day and it is a special feeling watching it.  Who will do well from your part of the world? I am sure Novak Djokovic will do well for Serbia. I don’t know if he will win gold but he always represents our country very well. I am sure he will give his best and if he is on his best game he will get a medal. We have a lot of good sportsmen and women. In the shooting we have Ivana Maksimovic, she always gets medals. In the long jump we have Ivana Spanovic, she is one of the best in the world. I am sure they are going to do well. What would your event be? Maybe boxing! I have never done it but I would give my best! And finally, if you had to choose one of your teammates to represent Chelsea in the Olympics this summer in each of these sports, who would it be? Shotput – I am actually good at that. I tried that a few times. 100m – Maybe Willian or Hazard. The attackers are the fastest. 1500m – There I can compete! Us midfielders would be good for that. Swimming – Azpi. Judo – Ivanovic. He’s tough. chelseafc.com

LondonsFinest 692
I'd argue selling Oscar, Matic and Costa would be an okay thing for us. This is on Matic. How much money would we generate? We're already playing a 4-2-4, maybe just sign one more midfielder, who is old, experienced and would just take a bit part role if Kante or Fabregas get injured. Chalobah and RLC can clear Mikel's role and one of Fabregas's or Kante's. Matic is a bit part player. He was amazing when he came, riding the high wave, now we've all seen his flaws. And this is us, the fans, who barely know the game...I mean, if a manager, who is dedicated top notch and analyses his game will know how to press him up the pitch, show him onto his weaker foot and be a nuisance to his game. Not to mention the fact, he is slow and while we may switch to a 3 man midfield, which for him would be ideal, it doesn't look the deal and he may know that, BIG time. Kante IS superior to him, in every way, except MAYBE in the air. And I'm saying maybe, because lots of times, when Matic has had to deal with the ball in the air, he has misplaced the pass, had a risky header, etc. Selling Matic would be an okay thing, one we can easily deal with, mainly because if we have the right options on the market, which we do, we could easily dispose of a limited player, for a nice fee, making a profit, while NOT having to deal with his potential moans on and off the pitch, if he stays. Something I doubt would happen under Conte, but still.. Unionjack
JaKstone 307
Sadly it might take Conte at least until January to understand just how useless this guy really is.

Despiadado.Maleante 1,046
Think his done here so I really wouldn't care if he leaves as long as his replaced. His red card at Burnley was the turning point for him. He hasnt looked the same since.

He has shown good energy and composure on the ball using it with purpose. I don't understand why people would say that he is done here. He is still a very good player who was lacking a great deal of confidence under Mourinho! I think with Kante now in the squad he can regain that comfidence and forget the time he has under Jose and contribute to the squad a lot more this coming season! Special Juan 28,141
Regressed massively for me, cannot believe the down turn him. I think he's looked poor in pre season too. I'd take a punt on Sissoko at Newcastle. xPetrCechx
Bir_CFC 3,455
Hasn't been amazing but he's had a decent to good preseason. Don't agree at all that he's done.

Its been almost 2 years, hence why it want him gone, but I hope your right our midfield would be amazing if he can regain so form.
Jype 6,398
Latest silly season rumors taking him to Real Madrid for £34M. Even tho I want him to stay, for that kind of money I'd travel to London and escort him to Madrid myself. Not gonna happen anyways, but one can only hope. Pizy 18,928
Long as it's not to a rival and we get an adequate replacement I must say I won't miss his slow, lumbering self floating around the pitch like a cruise ship. Or the fact that he dwells on the ball for ages and needs to take about 3 touches minimum before passing. nono, Unionjack, Hybrid Angel and 1 other

wilander 35
Why the World (Emenalo, Mourinho, Manchester United, Juventus) wants to help crappy Mikel Obi to stay at Chelsea?  We need to keep Matic instead of useless Mikel!
