CHOULO19 24,332
This title is ours.We were the bes team before the lueage gegan and we still are with a good amount of squad depth and the likes of Hazard gracing us with their presence. Anyone who keeps arguing that its Man City's to lose and that we are second or third favorites are obviously lyingHow is the title ours? If both we and City win all of the remaining games, the title goes to Manchester. Mathematically, it's City's to lose.
Jase 43,479
By the way, we are winning and it's all good, but we will NOT win all our remaining matches. So, when we do lose points, I dont want everyone flipping out and going crazy. Just stay positive and we WILL win the title!
Rmpr 8,977
Well, I just want to take it step by step and see where we are after a few games here, few games there rather than jumping straight to conclusions and all that. No, I agree! It's just that I think all games matters independently of whom the opponent is. At this stage, each match is worth 3 points and nothing else, no matter against who we play...With the League so close and in its last weeks, I really dont think its important whether we are playing Cardiff or Arsenal. Just like I dont think it is important if City plays Manure or Fulham. Every single game is a final now!

True but on paper at least, you do look that way because there is a higher possibility of say City dropping points against United than Fulham. Rmpr 8,977
True but on paper at least, you do look that way because there is a higher possibility of say City dropping points against United than Fulham.Well, very theoretically, because sometimes great offensive teams (like City, obviously) struggle against the smaller defensive fixtures and play amazing against the top sides!City pretty much trashed everyone at the top 7 (apart from us) and had a lot of difficulties against the likes of Cardiff, Stoke, Aston Villa, etc. Manure will definitely not defend for 90min and the game will be rather open, while if City faces Hull or Fulham, they might find it hard to break their 11 men wall or whatever.Like I said, I would go one week at a time and NOT focus our "hopes" on the big matches... We have the better depth by miles.

If anything, it's their title to lose. They are the clear favourites! Now, that doesnt mean I dont believe we can win it. I have been one of the most optimistic members thorughout the season and I trully believe we will be celebrating come May. However, it is no wear near over. There is a lot of football to be played still...

City have to play utd, everton, pool, arsenal away. Add to that fixture pile up plus their overdependenxe on yaya, they will crumble undrr the pressure. The only place to be 11,313
City still have the advantage. We're still very much a team being put together, we still lack a top striker and we've got some tough games. It's City's to lose because unless they do slip up then we're not gonna win a thing. But 4 AWAY games (specially since city have been average at best sway from home), can't be compared to one away game and a home game against arsenal. To b honest I ll be more worried about villa away than arsenal at SB. City can aswell but probably wont happen..Generally speaking I dont want to get my hopes up so all I'm really thinking is something along the lines of: "Its fine if we don't win anything, it's Jose's first season and we're really only starting to build the team... I guess we kinda have a chance to win the title, that would be awesome but no pressure, City would probably win it, I dont care, next season is ours." Who are we kidding!!!!! We will ALL be disaapointed if we don't win the league this season. Irrespective of how much we play down our chances. Anyways, I simply can't stay so calm when we are playing the way we are.

We will ALL be disaapointed if we don't win the league this season. Irrespective of how much we play down our chances.Anyways, I simply can't stay so calm when we are playing the way we are. We're competitive again, we've got a proper manager in charge and there's something being built here but there's still clear problem areas and Man City are further along in their development than us. We've exceeded our expectations but there's a reason our expectations were where they were. The only thing I know is that I'd be physically sick if Liverpool won the league. But City.....they're favourites still.
kellzfresh 7,229
9 games left.....7 more wins to 87points and the title.6 wins and 3 draws to 87points and the title.Very possible. Need to take a game at a time.

But looking at our fixtures and city's fixtures, I can't see how they are the favorites. I simply.can't!!! We have done some immense hard work in being where we are right now. It would be very disappointing if we dint win the league from this position cos I.feel city will drop a lot of points now. And for us to lose the title (or rather not win the title) would mean us also droping points heavily. (If city win all of their 12 left games, then its a different case, but can't see it happenin)

Add to that fixture pile up plus their overdependenxe on yaya, they will crumble undrr the pressure.I completely agree that points in the bag is so much better than games in hand and that puts the pressure on City. But how does that make it our title to lose? We have no control over City's matches results. They can easily win all of their postponed matches and be back top, or they can drop points and we'd stay top. Therefore, it's theirs to lose, or at the very least, they have the advantage, not us. Rmpr 8,977
How can someone say it's our title to lose if not even an 100% form would guarantee us the title???
